I'm going to vancouver next week from houston, and wanted to know some good restaurants to go to there....and post anything else you know that's cool about the city...
My wife and I visited Vancouver last spring break and thought it was nice. But we really preferred Victoria on Vancouver Island. If you have time, check it out. We did get to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. It was a bit scary (I'm not too fond of heights). As for eating...I'm not much into Northwestern food, so I had to settle for hamburgers and such. The best thing, though, is that you can eat like a king for a small amount ($US).
I haven't been in a while, and when I go I visit friends so I haven't done many of the touristy things. Stanley Park is a must. The aquarium is pretty cool too. Granville Island is combination of art studios and galleries and fresh food and seafood market. English Bay is a trendy downtown community. Chinatown is huge. It's almost as big as San Francisco's. Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver, and is a historic area with good nightlife. Hope this helps. http://www.tourism-vancouver.org/docs/visit/ http://www.vanaqua.org/ http://www.granville-island.net/en http://www.englishbay.com/main/mainset.htm http://www.ping.be/cosmopolitan/vancouver/chinatown.htm http://www.britishcolumbia.com/Attractions/attractions/gastown.html http://www.vancouver-bc.com/index.html
