I think they'll win 7, but who says they can't win all 10?

I will be happy if we win six games (lose games LA Lakes, @ New Orleans, @ Golden State, @ Phoenix). I worried about the situation that we will win the first four games with 21 in a row and lose six games later. If Rocket is the real contender for Championship even without Yao, we should win eight games instead of LA Lakers and @Phoenix.

They may lose one. Which one? I have no idea maybe @ New Orleans now that bird man is back. Right now you honestly would say if they lose, it will be by accident and certainly not by design.

The reason for the optimism right now is this team IS a team in EVERY sense of the word.

No one is overextending themselves including T-Mac who is only believe it or not looking better and better out there on the floor. The rookies continue to perform and even thrive under the NBA spotlight. We have a coach who actually KNOWS how to devise an offensive game plan. Lastly, these guys are fighting on practically every possession, rebound, shot like I have never seen.

I'm not being facetious in any way but this team IMHO is potentially the best one the Rockets have EVER produced! Mind you that is in the regular season thus far!

Bottom line, if you're not excited with this team by now, you obviously hate basketball because, they are playing a brand of the likes we haven't seen since Lakers Showtime of the 80s and Dr J's Sixers plus, they STILL play good defense.

Unbelievable! Adelman had better get Coach of the Year!

You don't win this many in a row and yet, claim this streak is but a fluke like Jammal Mashburn, ESPN pundit, former Mav alumni, intonated last night.

This is a SICK stretch. I'd be happy if they came out of that 5-5.

I don't really know, I'm not a gypsy, but those are all winnable games.

Before the Rockets became the Big Red Machine, I would have guessed 5-5, or 6-4. Now I am not so sure. I would be happy with any winning record for this stretch. Actually, if they go 7-3, I will be overjoyed. If they go 10-0, the NBA should just mail the trophy to Houston.

I had to go with 10 because I know it is impossible but all this team has done recently is what I thought was impossible.

The answer is 10 because I can't think of a single game on that schedule that causes me concern. I haven't seen anybody draw the comparison, but I think without Yao (although I think that we're better with him), we are basically like the Spurs. One star nearing the edge of his plateau (TMac:Duncan) and several awesome role players (Parker, Ginobili, Bowen:Rafer, Head, Scola, Landry, Battier, Mutombo, Hayes, etc.). In fact, we're younger and deeper than the Spurs. But the bigger commonalities between these two team are a system and chemistry. That's what makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. Just imagine how unstoppable we'll be next year with Yao.

    Realistically 8-2, optimistically 10-0, pessimistically 6-4. Voted 10-0.
