Man, are we a bunch of WUSSIES when it comes to "cold" weather. I know it’s a little chilly today, but people downtown were bundled up like we were in Antarctica or something. I heard some people in the elevator saying how they have rodeo tickets tonight but don’t want to go because it’s too cold. Hello? That’s what alcohol is for! It’s not even supposed to freeze this weekend, is it? Seriously, we are a bunch of nancies when it falls below 50 degrees.
My older son has a baseball game tomorrow morning. Call me a nancy or whatever, but I'm not looking forward to it. The temperature will be at 40 and it's supposed to be windy.
They just don't complain in Dallas because they are already wearing 4 polo shirts with popped collars and the cold can't penetrate their thick skulls.
A friend of mine was recently transferred to CO and says 40 down here feels colder to him than 25 up there. I guess because it is a dry cold?
When you said "Nancies", alls I could think about was FRANK: R.I.P., mr. "holy crap" himself. I hate the cold... but it isn't too cold. Let me see?
My boyfriend last night just reminded me of this fight we had several years ago - I wanted to buy a leather jacket because it was going to be my "super cold" jacket. He told me I was stupid and that the jacket wasn't going to last because it was too trendy and that I'd never use it because it doesn't get cold enough in texas. He then admitted that I won that argument because my jacket still looks good and I was totally warm.
I went to the mailbox this morning in nothing but shorts (came in late last night.......it was raining, and I didn't want to mess with it). Man.......that wet grass between my toes was some kind of cold.
yea its cold, but not that bad. i don't complain until i have ice on my windshield. what i want to know is what this guy thinks when its august, and the heat index is 115! bring on the summer!
LOL I think its funny that 40 is so cold to yall. Right now we have 3 inches of snow on the ground and I don't even have a winter jacket with me. We used to play soccer outside when the temp was around 15-20 degrees not including the wind chill factor. We had blankets covering the players on the sidelines and three layers of clothing we tried to move around in. But it was a blast!! I will say I have the best of both worlds where I live. I get a bit of the extreme heat in the Summer and I get to see a couple of good snowfalls during the year.
You can pick out the NORTHERNERS in our crowds 'cuz they're wearing shorts and a t-shirt right now, but then will have a "cold" due to "allergies" next week. These are the same bozos that, when it hits 80°, will say: "I'm melting!!!!!"
it sounds so funny to me to hear people think 40 is cold...we've had several negative wind chill days this winter. even a few mornings where the actual temp was sub-zero. until sunday, I hadn't seen my grass for 2 weeks because of the snow/ice. today, it 38 and people are happy that it has warmed up.
are you kidding me, it's freakin cold outside. i know it's technically still winter, but this sucks. The girls on campus should be in tanktops right now....
