if I recall correctly, a torn calf runied Jon Barry's last season with the Rockets and basically led him to retire. Brent is currently rehabin the same injury and he has injured his calf TWICE this season. Health is a big issue here as he has aged now. Just wanted to throw that info because everyone seems to be overhyped on barry

I wish I had something smart to say to counter that, but I don't. Good point.

I'm surprised the Cavs didn't sign up JB for their game tonight.

Is that rule still in place? Well lets go fish fore more clarification.

If that is the case, then Brent will miss the playoffs if he intends to go back to San Antone. Anyway, he may not care about the playoffs.

Brent Barry should think about the contract from PEAK or Anta! Like Steve and Battier

And didn't the Spurs almost trade Barry to New Orleans for JR Smith a couple of years ago?

Barry is too old ,I don't think he could give enough help to this team.but still welcome him to join in.

The Spurs can actually offer him more than we can because they didn't use their MLE this season. Thus they can offer Barry MORE than the vet's minimum even though they are over the cap and hence they can offer him more than we can. I still hope we get him, but I think that Pop is pulling a Stackhouse

Oh I know. I didn't forget Novak, nor did I forget AB. The key phrase when I reeled off that list was "in the rotation." :)

Yes, it is the same muscle involved to an extent, but we have no idea how badly torn Jon Barry's calf was.

Brent first tore is plantaris and then a grade II tear of the gastrocnemius (major calf muscle).

The first muscle won't really restrict movement, but the pain can cause you to favor the leg and overuse other muscles in your leg, if you say, come back too soon.

Grade II tears are troublesome, but by no means the worst calf muscle tear. (For those who don't know, strain = muscle tear, even if it is a small tear)

Though he is 35, so you don't know how long it takes him to recover and be able to play on that leg. Here's hoping he comes back strong and in Rocket Red.

If we do ending up getting him, shouldn't he backup Shane?...which is what Bonzi did, instead of backing up T-mac

He maybe the main key to propel the Rockets into the finals this year... so it's now or never!
