the biggest advantage of this trade:

    future flexibility

jackson's contract can be used as expirings this summer or in hte next trade deadline. very useful.

sure, there's short term downside in that bonzi is important to our success, but that's not to say jackson's impact couldn't match well's.

future flexibility! OMG we are making moves for the future in the midst of a 20-5 run since Christmas. Lets just blow the team up while we're at it. Trade T-Mac. Trade Yao. Sell the team.

Welcome to Houston Bobby, don't worry about our complaints, we're just disappointed in management, not you. Just play hard and you'll be fine!

Welcome BJax. I've always liked you, and I'm glad I get to see you as a Rocket for a little while, at least. I know you're not going to be much of an upgrade on offense, but your defense will keep you on the floor. Expect some playing time

That Bobby Jackson would be great, but this is 4 years later and he's nowhere as good as then.

Welcome to Houston. I loved watching you play in Sacramento. Please lose five years from your age.

I don't understand this thinking, so are you saying that we should stop trying? Becuase sometimes these things do work out, and Bonzi was not exactly setting the world on fire here.

Welcome to Houston Bobby Jackson! Around here, 39% field goal shooting is considered high for a guard. You'll fit in quite nicely. As long as you're able to take pull-up jumpers followed by 1 on 5 pull-up jumpers, and then contested 1 on 5 pull-up jumpers, you'll be a Rocket forever.

Maybe we should wait to see how this all plays out.

And it makes the team MUCH stronger for next year in that they have more than 9 million in expiring contracts, so that we could make a run for a Gasol type of player.....next year.

The GMs job is to make the team better now, but keep an eye to the future.

    Well done Morey.

Who is celebrating? This thread says "WELCOME Bobby Jackson....." I'm not the smartest guy here but I do believe celebrating and welcoming are two completely different things. Oh and the last TWO times fans bashed our management, Brooks and Landry turned out pretty damn good. So, flame on, flame on.

Plus sized club chicks and all pastry/dessert shops mourn the loss of one Gawen DeAngelo Wells. Oh well.

BTW, I think it should be a rule on this forum that Jackson is never referred to as Bobby. There is only one Bobby in Houston Rockets history and his name was retired the day Bobby Sura stepped off the (rehab) court for the last time.
