    ^^boooooo

Rewards for all As shouldn't come with stipulations, especially if the stipulations don't arise until after the kid has chosen their reward.

Although I'd go with a Zune myself (price/video functionality-wise)...give it up and get her the ipod ;)

So what problem are you having convincing her to go anti-iPod.

Just tell her the deal is off, whats is she gonna do, beat you up? Tell her to get it in writing next time, and that you are buying her what you want because its your money. When she gets a job she can buy what she pleases.

    Are you guys 12?!! :)
I have plenty of money to spend on my daughter, that is not the problem.
My problem is spending on something expensive that is not worth the money.
I am trying to teach her some value.

I promised her the value of an Ipod close to the top of the line. She will get to use all of the cash. If she spends on a cheaper model, she will get to spend the difference on something else that she likes.

    Do you have a recommendation?

If she did the work why not let her get what she wants?

There are lots of people who consider the iPod worth its cost.

Her opinion doesn't have to be yours.

I just bought this a couple weeks ago and I coud not be happier. Screw apple and their overpriced products. Go chinese knockoffs. This is very high quality product, just read the reviews on newegg.

She wants an Ipod and nothing you tell her will convince her otherwise. You could tell her that there is a better mp3 player that dispenses candy, does her homework for her and turns empty soda cans into ponies and she won't care.

Shes 12 you say? Tell her Ipods have cooties.
