    I'll be driving down to NYC to see the Jays play the Yankees on opening weekend at Yankee Stadium, and will need a place to stay.

    Does anybody here know of a cheap place to stay for a couple of nights? The only criteria is that it must have parking.

    I've been searching online, but can't seem to come up with anything cheaper than $140 or so per night. Any help would be much appreciated!!

    if you are looking for something real cheap in the city folks on craigslist will rent a room out for like 75-100 bucks, I think if you try priceline you can find a decent hotel in the city just try everything from hotels.com to orbitz to cheap hotels if nothing works name a price on priceline

    I got a really good deal when I stayed there last in January of 2007. I think it was $55 a night. It was a small but decent room in Manhattan. I'm not sure what the prices are now ... I know they change depending on the season and availability.

    You may need to book through one of the travel sites to get that sort of deal .. I believe I booked through Hotwire.

    Define "cheap". . . . also, define "New York City."

    Stay in some part of Jersey that is close by, and take the subway into the city center. You can reach within 20 minutes or so and get a great rate on a hotel room at the same time.

    Thanks for the information!

    We definitely would not be opposed to staying in a hostel as long as parking is available.

    Cheap = $50-$80 per night.

    New York City = It's all good as long as we're within walking or reasonable subway distance to Manhattan and Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
