I thought we had established that only one sign and trade could be made per deal, but it seems to me we're seeing so many rumors involving multiple free agents to be signed and dealt. Is that because they are generally three-team (or in the most recent case, 4-team) deals thus they can be viewed as two separate transactions? Still throws me off... Strange when Eddie Jones, Glenn Rice and Toni Kukoc are all rumored in the same deal when all are free agents... ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
This was actually covered by another post. Someone emailed a cap expert to find out the scoop (I guess the guy who runs the CBA FAQ) and he said that there is no restriction to signing and trading multiple players in the same deal. The only restriction was that the trade had to commence within 48 hours of signing. So, for example, Detroit could sign and trade Grant Hill to Orlando who could, in turn, sign and trade Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins to Detroit. Confusing, eh?! ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
I do remember that we had established that only one S&T could be done per deal, and I remember reading such a thing in the FAQ. But recently we have been corrected on that score. Personally, I suspect that it was on the FAQ at some point, but Mr. Coon corrected it since then. The new wisdom is that multiple S&Ts are possible -- but let's see how long that lasts. ------------------ Rockets Draft Obligations Summary http://www.gaffordstudios.cjb.net/
