    Include pictures/links if possible.

    Best: Possibly the Hilton Maldives:

Worst: Some dump of a motel near Key Largo with huge cockroaches everywhere (sorry, forgot the name of the motel, no pic of the cockroach either)

    Yours?

Best: Mandarin Oriental Miami or the Peninsula in Chicago

Worst: Coachlight Inn in Giddings, Texas. (I'm not counting hostels in Europe because those aren't really considered hotels....but they were filthy)

I should just post the hottest and ugliest girls I have spent time with in hotels. It would paint a clearer picture... At least I have range.

    Taj Mahal Palace in Bombay

This hotel was nuts. We stayed in the older part which is the older, crazy luxurious parts. I mean this place was balling. Every corner had a guy standing there to great you. Every suite (this is 4 years ago in India) had a plasma TV (we stayed in a honey moon suite).

Mandarin Oriental Kahala (Hawaii, our Honeymoon)

The room really looked like this

Nicest I have stayed in in the US mainland has to be the Intercontinetal at Buckhead in ATL. That is one big pimping hotel.

Worst: King's Lodge -- Chattanooga, TN

Those pictures don't really convey the icky-ness of the rooms (although that cheeseball logo provides a hint), but these reviews do. I think this couple stayed in the same room I did, though they didn't mention the fold-out quote-unquote "bed":

best: the loews in philly. i mean, it was pretty nice...i havent really been to many upper class hotels so this one was pretty cool.

worst: actually, a king's lodge somewhere in the south (kentucky maybe?) we were driving home to chicago from south carolina and all of the nicer motels were sold out. only king's lodge had rooms open, so we sucked it up and stayed the night there. smelled like cigarettes and stale food, and i dont even want to know what was on the bedsheets. let me tell you, we slept on our own sheets, didnt touch anything, and left as soon as dawn broke in the morning. atrocious place...don't know how they even stayed in business. atrocious.

    Best:
Amarvillas in Agra. Incredible views, absolute luxury and amazing food. Rated as one of the Top 10 hotels in the world by Travel & Leisure.

Worst: Qasr-Al-Khaleej, Madinah ... shouldn't expect much from a $20/night hotel, but this place was filthy. Found chicken bones under the bed ...

    Holiday Inn Express

Actually, when I travel nowadays I don't stay in hotels but rather rent short term apartments. They normally have all the accessories of home and are more comfortable. It also helps me feel more local where ever I am traveling.

    Best: Jamaica Inn Ocho Rios

It's a private resort and has been aropund since 1950. The service is insane. Got marrried there in '03 and will be returning in mAy for our 5th Anniversary. Gonna make it a tradition.

As far as corporate hotels go, I've stayed at a few Marriott resort properties and have never been disappointed. When we go to Williamsburg, the Manor Club at Ford's Colony is the goto. Stayed at Playa Andaluza last year in Estepona, Spain. VERY nice.

    Worst: Holiday Inn Syracuse

Actually, Syracuse might just be the single worst city I've ever visited. It's like they stopped building new stuff in 1953...and stopped cleaning everything a year later.

The Best: A Suite at the Winn in Vegas

The Worst: Some place called "The Manson" in New Orleans back in my younger days. They seemed shocked that we actually wanted to spend the night rather than 30min-1hr. Free porno on the tv though, which was nice.

It's nice to have money now. ;)

    Best for me...

    Casear's Palace Augustus Tower Suite...

Got upgraded to this room by mistake. It was overlooking the Bellagio fountains and was just a sweet freaking suite.

Worst would have to be one of the many Howard Johnson's I was forced to stay in on many family vacations. Every one of those places was a dump.

also spent a few hours with a lady friend in a flea bag motel near my house, it had a timer on the television that told you when your time was up. She WAS NOT a hooker.

Best: El Dorado Royal in Maya Riviera. We’re going there for our honeymoon in February. Trip Advisor has nothing but 5-star reviews for it and that site has never let me down before. CAN’T. WAIT.

    [IMG] [IMG]

Worst: Days Inn in Corpus Christi, TX. Roaches and ants in the room, blood ( ) on the balcony. I think this is the same place where Selena was killed….
