Who cares if he got sacked a thousand times.....I give the OL 50% of the blame. He was with a better OL last year and majority of the sacks were his fault.

He's the easiest b*stard to intercept. He stares down receivers he wants to throw the ball to and LBs/DBs are just waiting to catch a crap ball.

Plus, he doesn't make smart decisions like Schaub - i.e., throwing the ball away when there is no play, not throwing into triple coverage, holding onto the damn ball way too long, etc.

on topic.. i think he's done. Might get a shot in the preseason the next year or 2... or as a midseason pickup due to injuries. Pretty much, I think his career will follow Tim Couch's post-Cleveland from this point forward.

Wow, is that what you really expected? Players like Michael Strahan, Julius Peppers, or Osi Umenyiora didn't have those kind of numbers, in fact, very few DEs do.

Since Strahan holds the single season sack record, if he doesn't do it, no one does.

Regardless, we've signed you up for Sarcasm Detection 101. :D

I can't imagine anyone wanting to sign him for more that the Vet's minimum, and on top of that I bet he has to earn his spot by playing very well in the preseason.

No way he can perform, so I say he gets signed, cut and retires a millionaire

who. CARES? good ****ing night. david carr is gone. the general manager who drafted him is gone. the head coach and two offensive coordinators who coached him are gone. the majority of his teammates are gone.

****ing a, man... when do you plan to post your, "the oilers should have never cut moon and promoted carlson" thread? both have about the same degree of relevancy right about now.

Wait...Tim Couch is a point forward? Or, are you calling yourself a point forward? I'm confused.

Then excercise your self control and don't click the link.

David Carr is a *huge* piece of this franchise's history. Like it or not, people are going to be interested and will have commentary on his post-Texans career. And, it's *relevant* as far as I'm concerned. It's OK if you disagree--you have the freedom to not click the link.

I mean, Max's post didn't even smack of sour grapes and you guys are piling on. Chill the hell out.

As long as it's cool to talk about Tracy Murray in the GARM, this forum is totally open to a David Carr thread. :D

There isn't a point. I'm curious how long the guy our head coach had the wisdom to wish to extend last season will be in the league at this point.

Look, DC is relevant to the Texans. Because I'm guessing if he were kicking ass in Carolina I'd be hearing about it from you and others here who told me that all he needed was some real weapons and a change of scenery. That was a very lengthy discussion in this forum about his effect on the shortcomings of the Texans.

You can believe he's not relevant all you want...I believe he is...at least so far as understanding the difference of this team from one year to the next.
