Im sorry people but all the bashers who are saying Yao and Tmac are heartless, have no leadership, dont care, cant play defense etc. need to have a good hard look at yourselves and wonder if you know anyhting about basketball.

These guys lead the team almost every night.

They combined for 69 POINTS TONIGHT.

It isnt their fault at all. It is the role players and the coaches fault. They are the ones who are not producing and are not adjusting and making changes when changes should be made.

Both Yao and Tmac are playing hard and putting up good numbers.

I dono why you guys always think its their fault. No team wins with 2 players.

    It takes Five. Remember that.

So all the "trade Tmac," "Yao is Soft," etc. threads need to stop cause their unwarranted. You guys are just using them as scapegoats for our losses because they are easy targets because they are the leaders of the team. Well they are leading the team, the problem is, no one is following them.

    Give them a break.

If we can get a good 3rd scorer that can average around 15 ppgish, that slashes and can hit 3s, we'll be good. Right now our 3rd scorer is Mike James...

Finally, a thread that makes sense and maybe put things into perspective some more.

Unless some of you TOF/YOF learn that basketball requires a TEAM to persever, the hating and blaming on Tmac/Yao will never stop.
Either that, or get a life.

You guys need to check the play by play of the game and realize that Yao and Tmac accounted for almost everything, as it is every night. This games, especially in Tmac's case, he did everything he could. Whether it be through his own offensive input or assisting other guys, he accounted for more than 90% of the team's points in the 4th quarter

these aren't fans. fans would make constructive criticisms. these people are just straight up questioning our stars' manhood (yao is soft; tmac is heartless). they don't know what our stars HAVE to do out there, facing constant double/triple teams and knowing for the simple fact that most of the time they won't get consistent help from that 3rd guy.

i call these "bandwagoners." when we win, they all take pride. when we lose, they don't stand behind this team.

Damn, good thing we didn't trade someone like that for a role player like Battier.

As for this thread, it's a +1 for you Matty, you are right. But then again, it is the internet, and sadly, it's part of its job.

I really liked Rudy Gay, he would've made the games much more exciting last year..

You are so right. It is probably the only bad thing about having 2 major superstars on our team. They have to be the most annoying people sport - hands down.

According to some "knowledgeable bb fans", if your stars get double-teamed and pass the ball to somebody wide-open and this guy airball the shot, blame the stars.

So Princeton offense is about shooting from double-team.

Lately, I am surprised when somebody other than TMac actually makes a three.

the team is talking about getting reliable 3rd scorer the past 4 years. Only player that comes even close is rudy gay and they just dumped him for battier. Might as well go over the threshold and sign Kobe bryant here for 1 year when his contract is up

That's the difference between current Rockets "street ball" style players and players with solid shooting trainings. Perhaps we should trade RA,MJ for Pavlovic, Stojakovic or Vujacic?

And what do you suggest they do that they are not already doing.

    Scoring - Check
    Rebounding - Check
    Creating - Check
    Dishing - Check
    Playing hard - Check
Playing with Passion - Check (Yao got ejected tonight and anyone who saw TMACS face when when he came out of the game at the end would agree with me)

The only criticism i can have of Tmac is his occasional lazy defense. But you have to give him the benefit of the doubt considering he is carrying so much of the offensive load.

The reason why we are losing is the inability of "role" players to make shots ( wide open shots at that) as well as the coach not "thinking outside of the square" and playing the same rotation even though we are losing.

It has very little to do with Yao and Tmac under performing - Period.

agreed, yao and t-mac arent the problem.... well, yao can be at times, but its mainly our role players. we have some talented players but none of them are performing to their potential and are very inconsistent. the only who has shown some promise is francis but hes just now getting some time so who knows....

we are in desperate need of a third star.....

Yao played fine in this game. Tmac played like s*ht in the 1st half and only started turning around when the Kings was already winning the game. Overall, the defense was pathetic. I don't know what to say.

Same old story. Same starters, blame the same 2 people.

Get some real players in the starting lineup, and trade for more athletes and leave these spot up shooters alone.

Well it dosent help when you have battier regulary passing up wide open looks created by tracy or rafer bricking everything he throws up. we need more offense pronto. adelmans offense cant be put into motion if you dont have the right players to implement it.

This team is not a great fit for adelman personal wise. if adelman does stay at seasons end, we'll see a huge gutting of this team take place. starting with battier and alston.
