i guess i'm happy that this isn't the real rockets that are playing.

but i guess i'm sad that the rockets would take a night off. JVG would never let that happen.

I only saw the box score. How the hell could Yao only get 10 points with no personal fouls. I can understand Yao not scoring cause he's in foul trouble but did Yao just brick a bunch of shots or could no one get him the ball?

From the box score Francis looked like he did OK but fouled out. I guess he had to guard Davis most of the night.

No effort. Tired legs. Completely out of sync. They tried to give it a go there in the 2nd quarter, then they came out in the second half completely dead. T-Mac, Yao and Battier looked completely out of gas.

*Shrug*. That's life in the NBA.

It was nice to see the bench guys come on and shake off some rust. Excellent break out game for Mike James - hopefully this means his slump is finally over for real. Scola still has some work to do. Stevie needs to just keep on doing what he's doing - he's fantastic. Bonzi seems to be coming along slowly but isn't quite there yet.

I would've liked to see Landry in uniform tonight -- I guess it didn't occur to Adelman and co. before the game.

Obviously not as good of a night as last night. But we can't win them all can we?

Let's just blame on this on the tired legs and the no show from our two superstars

I'm sure we'll get them next time.

Some posted they teams that beat the Warriors play *physical* basketball. Yao and TMac are afraid of contact. Our front line never doesn't play big. Our big plays small. What do you expect? LOSS.

The ball could not get into Yao's hands because Al Harrington was in the way.

Golden State is like Phoenix on steroids. All the matchups problems Phoenix presents to the Rockets, and in particular Yao, are magnified against Golden State.

Baron Davis is impossible for any of our guards to defend one on one, and everyone else on the court is a three point shooter (when they use Harrington at the 5).

Golden State made us look silly at the end of last season, and things haven't changed. If Yao isn't at the very top of his game, there really is no point having him on the court against this team. We'd be better off using Scola at center.

What happened on TMac? What happened on our FTs?

Still no answer to fronting Yao, which I believe will cost us more games in the future.

Tmac and Yao missed the flight over from Phoenix. That is what we'll tell people because that is practically what happened. When 2/3 of your offense scores 21 points then there is something drastically wrong. That was a joke.

Our defensive woes (50+ pts in the paint?!?) started with the inability to score on the other end. GSW played faster and more physical, and we responded no better than what Dallas did last postseason.

And I thought Chuck Hayes deserved more time in the game, for help defense and rebounding purposes. Maybe Adelman had other plans for other players.

It's a systematical lose. ppl could have foreseen it. No answer on Warriors' offense, no answer on their fast rolling defense either.
