I honestly think he can do it. he has been bringing up his rebounding avg in the last week from below 8 to 9.3. he's going to always get the points and assists, but a few games like the other night when he pulled down 19 rebs against the magic could catapult his avg into triple double territory the Nets play tomorrow against the Jazz, Kidd would need to pull down 17 boards to hit the 10.0 mark JKidd numbers look like this as of this morning: 11.7- pts 9.3-reb 10.5-ast
That would be nuts but I dont see him getting 10 rebounds per game. Heck, even Yao struggles to average 10 a game.
8/10 games he recorded 10 or more assists 6/10 games he scored 10 or more points 2/10 games he rebounded 10+ 2 triple doubles so far... last game-16 points, 15 assists, 8 rebounds
None of the Nets' front court players can get a rebound to save their lives, so i think Lawrence Frank just tell them to swat the ball out so Kidd, who is a far superior rebounder in his position, can gather all the rebounds and run fast breaks.
Lebron might be able to give it a go in a few years. Especially if he gets better a supporting cast and can take less shots himself and dish out more assists
No way he averages a triple-double over the entire season, though he could rack up a bunch of them over 82 games. Too bad his talents are wasted on that team.
Exactly. Kidd has never averaged a triple double in his career...there is no way he'll do it, especially with his age and previous surgery piling on the resistance. A lot of players look good early in the season, but it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Ironically, His best years (team record wise) were with Baron Scott. BS's coaching is seriously underrated in this league. Too bad, J kidd decided to drive him away. Lawrence Frank is an average coach, just barely OK. But this guy doesn't know how to coach offense, period. JVG looked like an offense genius compared to him. I never figure out why a team featuring VC, J Kidd and J Rich will struggle so much at scoring points.
With a stat line of 2pts, 2rebs and 8 assists vs. the Jazz tonight, not today... I know he averaged a TD over 12 games in the playoff last season, but for a 82-game regular season, it's extremely difficult.
he followed that abomination with another triple double... he will flirt around 8 or 9 rebound avg for the whole season, its still pretty amazing
I could see him average a double double which he hasn't done since the 1999-2000 season but I doubt he can average double digit rebounds a game for the whole season. 11, 10 and 8 is still pretty sick.
I don't think he can do it, but his season has been very impressive. LeBron is having an MJ-esque season right now, he's doing it all.
