Well, at least something got through the Senate with enough votes to override a veto... SCHIP is next... eventually.
if by eventually you mean post 08... we just dont have the votes for schip to push it down bush's throat.
^ This override though might embolden more Congressional Repubs to vote against the president. Especially as elections get closer.
Rimmy, it was overridden by a large margin for a very good reason like the one you pictured. But do you always have to be so serious?
Republicans no longer have any right to bit#* about spending too much after the first 4 years of Bush and a Republican Congress. They increased the size of the Federal government by 49% and ran deficits that reached over $400billion. I never heard a peep out of Republicans complaining about this. I would say that any comment about how "Republicans are the fiscally Party" no longer apply.
if its for local communities/american people why not alot more are spent in iraq and for the rich's tax cuts

yea,.... It’s funny how when I am typing my thoughts out, the side of brain that handles spelling is just gone. It's not a bad when writing something out by hand but when typing, fa get about it.
I can see why the reaction to this particular funding would be controversial on this board since part of the money will go to increase flood protection for the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
