I do Brazilian Jiu-Jiutsu and it is amazingly great......however, I can see as I didn't really like it too much either untill I started doing BJJ and I realized how intense and fun it is :D

My ex didn't really understand why I was so crazy about the Rockets...he wasn't a big fan. He would watch them with me but not keep up with them like me. When in one of the games that Rockets lost to utah(when t-mac walked in the final seconds of halftime), I was so upset. He said "it was just a game! I got even more upset! :( He wasn't really into sports. Go figure! My next boyfriend must at least understand that IT IS NOT JUST A GAME! I thought I had that with the next guy (the psycho) because he was obsessed with his Mexican America soccer team. Oh well!

    moes,

Dude - how else would you describe someone living in Tennessee that likes the Rockets, the Red Sox, and the Broncos?? Definitely not normal (be nice in your response!). And as my good friend, RMTex would say... :D

she thinks its slightly worse than hers.

Mine thinks I am more obsessed with the men (basketball players) than her. But at least she tolerates it and lets me subscribe to League Pass (we are not in Houston) - although maybe that's just her way to keep me at home. ;)

I made a fan out of my gf. Can't date anyone who says "basketball is stupid" or "Yao Ming sucks" like they're stuck in 2004. Plus my gf posts on here so you know I made it good.

In case things don't work out.. do Lady_Di and Hayesfan live in Houston? :D

My significant other is amazing about it. She's not really into basketball or the Rockets (she's from KC) but she learned about the team and the sport so that she could hang out with me while I watch the games and talk with me about it. She also buys sweet rockets related gifts for me. She probably thinks my addiction goes a little overboard sometimes but she is pretty cool about it all.

I think Di is Houston, IM not sure tho

HayesFan is not in Houston, but we bug her all the time to move, so who knows what might happen.

but it aint that easy...you have to have the official #hr seal of approval or you cant even talk to her. :p

andymoon, not to get into detail...but did that post mean what I think it meant? If so, you are indeed one hardcore dude.

She really does not give a rip. She definitely does not like my obsession with the Eagles though.

Reading those posts just make me smile. It's the best way to kill time before the game.
My wife is ok with my obsession. But I failed to convert her into a fan. We both are Chinese. She always teases me like this "Why don't you go and live with Yao?" (Does that put me into the category of YOF :)
Oh, once one of her coworkers told her that she looks like Yao!
And she feels it's an insult to her. :D

Sucks for me my ex-wife was in to basketball, but when he hooked up I had season tickets, coach aau ball, almost can watch 7 year olds play, so she really got into the Rockets as well, and tells me how much every boyfriend she gets loves her appreciation for the game. Better yet she brags about knowing more than them.

She enjoys the rockets, joins me at games. But can all of a sudden turn on them out of anger if they are losing.

We were at the Spurs game and we were getting our asses kicked and i was so pissed and she started rooting for the Spurs which drove me insane and she said "hey the Rockets apparently can't do anything and besides I like Robert Horry."

She is coming up the bar to watch the opening game with me here...

My wife is a fan of the Rockets, thank goodness, but not like I am. She gets into the playoffs and the run to the playoffs, but not the arcane minutia we discuss here. She was a huge fan of the Rockets of Ralph and Akeem, and the Rocks of the mid-'90's. She loved Rudy T, and Max, and ET, and loved when we got Clyde, being a fan of his at UH.

    I guess I'm lucky!

My wife is a fan of the Rockets too. But it is way more casual compared to me. She understands my love for the Rockets and that is priceless. :D
