im sorry, but this pessimistic outlook on this team has me annoyed and frustrated.. We will beat chicago tonight to end the snide then start to play solid ball until steve gets back

If last night was glens breakout game like i hope and we keep getting progression from griffin we will be the 7th-8th seed out west, fighting with portland, phoenix for positioning....feel free to say your peace here but its not surprising we struggled without francis and mobley, but it isnt time to bail the ship, this is when the strong tough it out and survive.

If your with me post it here, if not thats fine too

The equation is simple. If Francis plays at full strength, they will make the playoffs. If he is hobbled most of the year, the Rockets are lottery bound.

    Count me in, DVauthrin.

The Rocks are 7-11 despite everything, not 0-18.

And as you wrote, this is a tough stretch right now, but it's certainly not time to declare the season lost, especially if they continue to play like the first 3 quarters of the Knicks' game.

    LOL.
    You know, they just might...
the bulls beat the knicks and the knicks beat us.
I know, I know, the transitive property doesn't always apply in b-ball, but can someone honestly believe that we will definitely win...hands down? especially on a back to back game without francis, and our "hottest shooter" glen rice still not quite in game shape. glen probably won't have it tonight and rudy will probably play eddie and OT for only 10 minutes a piece. The bulls know we are hurting and tired...they smell the blood and a rare victory IS possible...I can't bear to watch!

Why would we want to end the "snide"? I love making snide comments. :D

As bad as they've been playing, Rockets are still much much better than the terri-Bulls. Rockets by 20.

I'm with RocksMill (I think we all are). I just want a freaking win. I'll tell you; this six-game losing streak is excruciating. I can hardly get myself to read the recaps now. I have newfound respect for Bulls, Clippers fans.

One game at a time. I tell you, the Rockets better come out hungry tonight. I ask for only one thing: 100% effort. 100% hustle. Mental and physical. Come out and play and win. Not just the 1st quarter. Not just the 4th quarter. Come out and play each minute like the game's on the line. I don't care if the score's 60-30. I won't be satisfied with a hint of complacency until Floyd pulls his starters four minutes into the fourth quarter and officially calls it garbage time. And even then, I still want the young guys off the bench playing with intensity, out to prove to Rudy and the fans why they deserve minutes and deserve to be cheered.

I think we can make the playoffs. But it's going to take everything we've got. From this game to the last game of the season.

I for one do not care if we don't make the playoffs. I just want to fall behind, get a lottery pick to replace Cato, and go to the playoffs the next year. It would be nice if we could be the last team to make it to the playoffs next year so we can get number 14 pick in the 2003 draft.

Once a homer, always a homer.

The rockets are going to win.

Its way too early and Stevie is out and 7-11 is only a couple wins and couple losses by the 9-9 knicks and then we're both 9-11 then we go 11-11 and 15-11, then 17-11 and 21-11 then 27-11 and 35-11 and keep goin into 42-11 and 51-11 and 60-11 and finally 71-11 and the playoffs is a whole nother story. :)

What was our record eighteen games in last year? I know we got off to a slow start, but I don't know the numbers.

    9-8 after 17 last year.

They started off 13-9, but dropped to 14-15 by the new year.
The Rockets will likely have more than 15 losses by the end of December.

I noticed that nobody replied to this "Idiotic" post...you know I really felt that we were going to lose today for some odd reason, the team has no heart without stevie and his motivation, ability to create for others, and great offensive skills are the ingredients that make our "possible" 50 win team go. Although, according to others like The Cat, steve is a constant mistake maker that hurts our team all the time... It is apparent today, that without steve we are a 20 wins-a-season type of team...If steve's presence is worth 27 more wins a season...then I say lay off of the criticizism and tell me who could do better with the hand the rocket organization has dealt the them.
