Well these are not the latest photos of Yao Ming.

They were taken on July 19, the first team practice he had with the national team when he rejoined them.

I've just found them ...... at least they are not with watermarks of China Foto Press.

Yao to work out with Dallas?

Chill out Rocket's fans, it's not what you think. Apparently Yao Ming has a "little brother". As local Houston scout Tully Cain puts it, "This cat can ball. But it's not what you think. It's on the gridiron". 6 foot 8 inch Yao Tsu, the 23 year old brother of Ming is set to sign a 2 week contract with the Dallas Cowboys.
Tsu has already requested the number 84, the same number that his favorite player Randy Moss used to wear. Speaking in clear English Tsu stated "Mr. Randy Moss has always been one of my greatest heroes." Tsu took up the sport at age 16 after watching a Minnesota Vikings game on a trip to the states with his brother. Moss went for over 100 yards and 2 touchdowns, and converted a new fan in the teenage Tsu. "If it is possible to achieve Nirvana on the field of play, then perhaps Mr. Moss did so that day", said the fawning Yao.
The baby faced Tsu recently stepped out of the shadows of his brother to capture headlines in his own country. Tsu helped his Chinese University win a national title in American football, playing middle line backer, punter, wide receiver and occasionally quarterback. He scored a whopping seven touchdowns: one on the ground, one passing, one on an interception return, and four receiving in earning championship MVP honors. In Dallas he will audition for the tight end position.
Tsu's quick striking ability and calm demeanor have already earned him a unique nickname: "the praying mantis". If things don't work out with the cowboys, Tsu's agent will explore possibilities with another NFL team, or perhaps even a Canadian Football League club. Says Tsu, "This is already a dream; a dream which will hopefully continue for many years."

The state of US sports journalism could be in trouble if kids like Bourne end up with real jobs in the field. On another note, sina may want to extend some serious offers to them.

I doubt that they will be anything but little. May they all grow to be 8 feet tall B-Ballers that sign with the Rockets

Do you think rockets will get the number one pick again in 22 years?

It would be funny if Yao have two kids and one joins the Chinese national team and the other represent the US national team.

I think that is the Chinese national team uniform. Nike sponsors the Chinese national team I believe.

Yao Ming's honeymoon attracts copycat tourists

BEIJING, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Chinese people have been packing travel agencies asking to follow in the honeymoon footsteps of China's most popular sporting hero, basketball star Yao Ming, domestic media reported on Thursday.

China's richest sportsman, Yao, and his bride, Ye Li, a basketball player with China's national team, got married earlier this month in their hometown Shanghai. They are honeymooning somewhere in Europe, the Information Times said.

Since then, travel agencies have received increasing inquiries from clients about booking the same trip to Europe, hoping to "bump into" the couple, it said, even though nobody knows for sure exactly where they have gone.

"In a sense, Yao Ming and Ye Li are promoting tourism in Europe," a travel agent was quoted as saying.

But as the couple have not publicised their exact whereabouts, travel agencies cannot satisfy their clients' wishes, it said, adding that Yao would be back in China by the end of the month due to national sporting commitments.

"It would be impossible to bump into them if tourists apply now... but fans can still follow in the steps of the big star later this year, when Yao's travels are publicised," travel agent Chen Zhichao was quoted as saying.

The newspaper also said that a scenic area near Tai Lake in eastern Zhejiang province had suddenly shot up in popularity after the couple -- Yao in a tuxedo and Ye in a white veiled gown -- were spotted having wedding photos taken there.

Well, it was disclosed in the blog of his buddy Liu Wei, the point guard of the national team, that Yao Ming and Ye Li went to the Alps of Switzerland. But he is cutting short his honeymoon and will travel to Hamburg to be on the court side to rave support for the China national team when they play against a Dirk Nowitzki-led German national team today (August 17).

I hope I can get hold of the photos of Yao & Ye to share them with you guys in the next few hours.
