On Rockets organizational chart, which is higher, GM or President (or how 'bout various VPs)?

Higher in the public eye? GM by far. Most scrutinized? GM by far. Most likely to affect the bottom line? GM by far. Person who represents the financial interests of the club? President.

GM is the toughest job with the highest rewards.

The Rockets have no team president. THeir CEO is Tad Brown. CEO is just under the owner, however most CEO's deal with business interests. Some CEO's who have good knowledge of the game interfere with basketball ops (Donnie Walsh), but most of them are businesspeople, not basketball people. I believe the CEO and GM typically are paid the same amount.

not to encourage this line of thinking...but

it does seem odd that no posts since he went on vacation

its understandable that if a known columnist (other than KD ;))wanted to interact with this forum (especially if sharing inside info), they would attempt to disguise their writing style and/or approach.

alot of the stuff that he mentions are the kind of things that a longtime Rockets beat reporter *could* have access to.

    could just be a coincidence

    maybe maybe no

Of course, Lindsey is still on the Rockets' payroll (see Scola trade).

    source? :p

The rosas are friends of the family, happy to hear that he is the new director of scouting, much deserved. He is a latin american that will seek talent in the university courts of medellin, colombia, if he has to.
I can see us going after Matias Nocedal four years from now. ;)

cooper just spoke with SR610, cleared up some messageboard propaganda on yao not fitting in.
