the 07-08 season schedule is out: http://www.nba.com/rockets/schedule/ our first 5 games are kind difficult: Oct 30 at Laker Nov 1 at Jazz Nov 3 vs Portland Nov 5 at Mavs Nov 6 vs Spurs whats your prediction?
lakers - WIN jazz - LOSS (i'll give it to the jazz. we may still have to work out a few kinks and we might suffer from a flashback from last yr) portland - WIN mavs - WIN (they'll suffer a bigger flashback) spurs - WIN/LOSS (unsure) so we can go 3-2 or 4-1.
We have too many new guys it ill take sometime for us to gell. a realistic perdiction is 2-3 win loss record out of the first 5 games. we should beat the lakers and the blazers. the jazz game along with the texas double is gonna be awefully tough. It will take time for francis, james and Scola in particular to be ready. heck we have a coach and whole new system to learn. it's gonna be a process. i think after the allstar break, we'll be hitting on all cylinders.

i do agree with you. but man, imagine if for some reason we click and just roll through the first month to like a 60% win rate, damn, i can believe the best record is within reach. but we'll see soon enough in pre-season. in 05-06 b4 all the injuries, our team was clicking in the preseason and dominated the first game v. the kings. then everything fell apart. we'll see how francis and james and bonzi play in the pre-season. if they're in shape, in their rhythm, we could go running out the gate.
First 5 Games 1) Vs Lakers W 2) Vs Jazz W 3) Vs Blazers W 4) Vs Mavericks W 5) Vs Spurs W 5-0 -------------------- Why am I so optimistic? I think Lakers, Jazz, and Blazers are for sure wins. I think we can now with stand The Mavericks when they go small, so I think we can beat them. We didn't have too much of a problem with The Spurs last season except one blow out and the game we gave away to them, and with Bonzi back, that should help.
I dont think James and francis will play much in the pre-season. I think Adelman will try to play Brooks and head more at the guard spots. he'll try to evaluate and see what they can and cant do. Pre-season is more for fine tunning then putting all you're cards on the tabel. It's not how you start, but it's how you finish that is the important part. once this team gells, it's gonna be scary deep.
its wonderful to keep 2 or 3 games above 50 percents in 1st month, we have so many road games and none is against lottery team
4-1 Why is everyone saying 2-3 is realistic... 3-2 or 4-1 is realistic. We should win vs. Lakers and Portland for sure and if you don't think we are good enough to win 1 outta 3 AT LEAST vs. Jazz, Mavs, Spurs (Top Tier Teams) then there is no way you can think we have a chance at going all the way.
