The mention comes in at the tail of another article about Steve: The acquisition of Francis could lead to other moves. Morey has said he would look to move point guard John Lucas III. He has spoken to several teams, including New Orleans. He said he would not necessarily move other point guards, but the Miami Heat have expressed interest in Rafer Alston, with forward Udonis Haslem and center Michael Doleac among the names discussed. For me, Haslem would be the final piece.

Haslem would definitely be the final piece. Size, shooting, defense, rebounding, the total package. I am nowhere near as excited about Scola as the rest of you guys. He hasnt proven anything and is expected to have an impact against Duncan, Boozer, Stoudemire, Garnett, and Nowitkzi? Ya... I have my doubts. From what I take Haslem can be had. Its going to take Alston, Hayes, and the Heat are probably pushing for Head or Brooks along with those guys. They have little chance... I love Hayes, would hate to see him go. But Haslem is the quality 4 the Rockets need to compete with the elite. If Morey gets Haslem... Wow.
If we get Haselem i would do a cartweel. Rafer, Head, Snyder for haselem and cap fillers? Rafer, Suras expirer and lucas for haselem and filler. i bet there trying to unload walker on us. morey is not stupid. he would laufgh at any offer including walker.
Maybe that's the reason why we are not signing Hayes yet..He can be packaged together with Rafer....expect Head,Sura's expiring,Snyder,Lucas...Brooks will not be included.He'll be our future PG
Morey regards Snyder very highly. resently he was saying how snyder is our best player along with tracy at attacking the Rim. .
Haslem is the final piece of the puzzle, any combination of Rafer, Head, Sura, Snyder and Hayes will do for me.

I think the best deal for both teams without ripping the Heat off would be: Rafer Alston, Steve Novak, Kirk Snyder, Next year's 1st for Udonis Haslem.
