The Morey audio is on the front page... fairly straight forward.

    http://www.clutchfans.net/

Said the Rockets have interest, called it a "longshot" ... implied maybe there is an offer from the Rockets but that Francis likely has better offers.

Berman is likely adding a puzzle piece by getting info from Francis' side.

Francis is like a sucky version of Iverson. Dribbles too much and takes lots of shots.

Well, Morey never talked about drafting AB or trading for Scola. ;)

Morey said longshot on Lewis too. We won't get Francis unless he wants $2mm per year or vet minimum!

But he did get a $30mil buyout, so who knows.

If you are the GM and you are trying to get a guy who is a big time fan favorite, are you going to tell the fans that you are "the leader in the clubhouse"? If you do and you don't get him, the fans are pissed. If you get him, you were supposed to.

In contrast, if you are the "leader in the clubhouse" and you tell the fans it's a long shot, it's a win-win. If you get him, you did some great work in getting the long shot to come to fruition. If you don't get him, you were never supposed to get him in the first place so it's no big deal.

If I'm Morey, I'm telling the fans it's a long shot regardless of whether it is or not.

Wow, Just when I think there is no way we are getting Francis, I read this. I don't know what I should take from it, since a couple of years ago we were the front runner to get Damon Stoudemire, and that of course did not happen.

    Get er' done.

Nothing bad about having too much talent.

At the very least, we'll have some very good trade pieces lingering :D

morey even told robgue and i that francis was a slight possibility but "our guard rotation isnt as bad as everyone thinks" also he did say that francis was being offered full mid or near full mid level offers. probably from miami if its the full mid level. he didnt seem to high on getting him from his body language either.

Do it Steve. In the least bit even if we have a 6"3 guard he can do more than chuck 3's. In the event his shot doesn't fall, he can get to the basket.

Can't say that about all of our guards, and we already know Morey is looking to trade baby John Lucas.

This team needs athletes and basketball players. Not one dimensional short players and robot stiffs.

This city needs some excitement to go along with Yao and Tracy.

It needs a mixture of talent, heart, and some attitude. Bball IQ and some instinct as well as guys who can move without the ball and run a fastbreak.

Steve, you know you want to go home, that's why you've been taking so long. It's a perfect scenario for you. Morey will make room.

Statistics genus comapring longshots with possibilties. :D

I thought there is 1% possiblity, so longshots must be negative then. Byebye Francis, good luck.

If only all of Isaiah's talent was at the veteran's minimum.

Fine, let me rephrase that :p

There's nothing wrong with having too much talent at reasonable prices. And a chunk of the MLE is hella reasonable.
