My mom had this last year. Luckily, she nearly fully recovered. The sad part about aneurysms is that once they happen, you have to go to the hospital immediately. If you are alone when it happens, you're gone. My condolences. I have to assume he'd been found well after the fact.
I'm praying that the daughter has someone she can really talk to. The mother sounds like a strong woman with her daughters best interests at heart. This is heartbreaking.
My uncle had one in his torso but luckily they found it when he went in for his yearly physical. The cut they made on him was huge too, it was about a foot long but luckily they found it and removed it. Condolences to his family and his friends. R.I.P.
sorry DaDa. Our prayers for your amigo. X 10 This was so sad I went to another forum to steal an appropriate smilie.
I remember hearing how Sharon Stone had these really bad headaches for several days and went to the doctor to have them checked out and it was revealed that she was in the beginning stage of a brain aneurysm. But like you said, the scary thing about this is if you are alone and it bursts, then you're gone. A guy I used to play softball with all the time lost his wife this way. He never recovered from it (as you can imagine). Dakota - I'll keep your friend's family in my thoughts, especially his wife and 8 year old daughter.
He died a couple of hours ago, very sad. He felt a tingling in his neck, thought it might be fireworks residue or some reaction to gunpowder, got in the shower, yelled for his wife and collapsed. The Annuresim was at the base of his brain, there was nothing anyone could do.... DD
i'll say a little prayer forfor you and his family also...at least he's in a better place and no longer suffering...
My bro, DD: I believe you showed me this song. To me, it speaks volumes. I suggest this in any epitaph. I know I want it sung on mine, when that day comes. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BLHq7rgHOLk"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BLHq7rgHOLk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
From what I understand, high blood pressure causes a weakness in the blood vessels which can cause a bulge which over time weakens further and just bursts. DD
that's rough. at least his daughter didn't have to suffer needlessly on her big day. a final present from him, if you will. not much to say, just so sad..
