wow. you are crazy man. lets see if he can be better than Battier before making out of line predictions
If the Battier trade never happened, the Rockets would not even have made the playoffs with all the injuries.
Erm, someone else is using my account. I don't agree with "rudy gay looked awesome tonight id say he'll be better than tmac by next year" at all. But I will say Gay will be really good soon.
Wait for Travis Outlaw....KING of the summer league. He puts up 30/20 every summer (maybe not this one) Take that.
I call BS on that. The reason we won all those games with Yao injured is because of Tmac, Deke, and JHo. Tmac playing like a MVP, Deke averaging 12+ rebounds and 3+ block shots, and JHo actually playing like a starter. They stepped up their games, Battier did not. Battier can't step up his game because he gives you 100 percent every game so there isn't any room for improvement.
How does Battier playing hard all 82 games mean that he didn't help the Rockets stay afloat with Yao out? He helped the Rockets win more games with and without Yao. Substitute a rookie for him, whether Gay or Sefolosha, and the Rockets win less games with Yao playing and with Yao injured.
Hmm... Rudy played against some great competition tonight. Those rookies and future D League players were no match for the Gay Man!
Battier was not a "huge" player.....but he was always in the right place at the right time with his hustle....and he's an excellent defender...while T-Mac,J-Ho, and Deke stepped up...we wouldnt have made the playoffs this year without Battier....neither Gay nor the "Stro-Show" could have done what he did
Oh yeah I always go to a guy who takes summer league games as if they were postseason for my info. He was playing a bunch of guys running their butts off just to make a D-league team. Pretty much this thread is stupid but not nearly as stupid as you if you actually anylize summer league games and make statements that players playing in those games will be better than top 5 players in 1 year. Idiotic!
Because the way those three were playing, Battier and his -.0.2 net production and 4.2 net on and off the court wouldn't of made a difference of 12 games which how many games we were above the 9th seed. http://www.82games.com/0607/0607HOU.HTM
Once again, Houston never wanted Rudy Gay, they drafted Gay on Jerry West's behalf. The trade is Swift + #8 for Battier, not Swift + Gay for Battier.
