An official close to the investigation and diplomats said there had been two previous cases of anthrax in Pakistan, which has thrown its weight behind U.S. strikes on Afghanistan, but authorities had not wanted to spark panic. No. Nor does it confirm it either. This does nothing to sway my opinion (that I have no clue who it is) in either direction.
Considering the letter supposedly received Al Jazeera from bin Laden, they're not thinking too highly of Pakistan right now for fighting "under the Christian banner".
Considering there are idiots in this country that are boycotting Pakastani owned businesses, it wouldn't surprise me if there were idiots who thought they weren't helping.
