Anthrax Found in Pakistan, First Outside U.S. By Imran Maqbool and Andy Soloman KARACHI (Reuters) - A Pakistan newspaper editor said on Friday a white powder in an envelope hand-delivered to his paper last week had tested positive for anthrax spores, the first confirmed case of its kind outside the United States. An official close to the investigation and diplomats said there had been two previous cases of anthrax in Pakistan, which has thrown its weight behind U.S. strikes on Afghanistan, but authorities had not wanted to spark panic. "We received a press release envelope which contained white powder... and it has tested positive for containing anthrax spores," Mehmood Sham, editor of the Daily Jang, Pakistan's leading Urdu-language daily, told Reuters. click for more
ok...does this cast any doubt on the idea that this is some right-wing nut here in the US carrying out these anthrax attacks??
No. Nor does it confirm it either. This does nothing to sway my opinion (that I have no clue who it is) in either direction.
Considering the letter supposedly received Al Jazeera from bin Laden, they're not thinking too highly of Pakistan right now for fighting "under the Christian banner".
Considering there are idiots in this country that are boycotting Pakastani owned businesses, it wouldn't surprise me if there were idiots who thought they weren't helping.
