When's the last time we saw Garner lose his cool?

He seems bored to death at times out there in the dugout. His lackadaisical attitude is rubbing off on the players. Berkman, Ensberg, Everett, Scott, and Lane need a fire light under them. Granted I hate Guillen and Pinella, but they have a passion for the game and I respect that. Garner doesn't seem to care at times

That passion has worked so well for those guys this season. The White Sox are falling apart, and that nonsense rubbed onto the Cubs such that their players are now beating the crap out of each other. Why exactly do we want that?

By not losing his cool, he emits a silent confidence in his players to get the job done. I think Garner knows all about rough stretches and how to handle them. The grounded leadership is what the Astros need IMO. Like was said, managers who lose their cool can be an added detriment to the team keeping the negatives afloat.

We're apparently losing games because our manager doesn't lose his cool, and get tossed out spectacularly (like that Braves minor league manager).

Now, I think I've read EVERYTHING that you could possibly complain about this team.

Well, there was the game last year against the Tigers when Gar got ejected for throwing a chair on the field.

What's the point of raising your blood pressure when you know you have better odds of winning various table games in Vegas.

I think it would be good for Garner to loose his cool.

Sometimes you have to have someone in the clubhouse with a screw lose.

Seems like Garner showed more emotion when he arrived in 04 but after that he just shows no emotion and says the same thing after each game. I know the Astros dugout does not show emotion like the RedSox, Mets, Cubs, and etc.. but it would be nice to see some type of emotion in the dugout besides Hunter Pence.

Ask anyone who's been around the clubhouse much about Gar losing his cool.

He's notorious for demolishing bathroom fixtures. He's done it twice that I've heard of this season.

The batboy in that flick just cracks me up. He's petrified to go do his job because Frankenstein might attack him.

I like how #33 has to put his glove over his mouth and turn his back because he doesn't want his manager to see him LAUGHING at him. :D

And the Astros are going to win.

So the OP was right, this team just needs more fire.

Well, that can very much be said about Mr. Ensberg. WHOO! WE WON!

He just lets pitches go by him without swinging, hoping to draw walks. I can't remember where, but an old article mentioned how it seems he's scared to swing at pitches, and that's a darn shame.
