Okay, the draft is over, the season has started and this thread is overdue.

Here's the link for the site: http://www.fantasybaseballsite.com/baseball/clutchcity/

Predictions? Who are the early winners and losers?

For myself, I think this is the best I've felt about a fade baseball draft going into the season so far. I've got to make up for after the awful showing in the basketball league.

Have I mentioned how much of a man crush I have for Jon Papelbon? He singlehandedly gave me just enough points to move even for the tie after I was sure I would take the loss. I think he just became my new favorite player..... which is sort of problematic, since I'm a converted Jays fan now and he's the closer for their biggest rival. But anyway...

LonhornFan -- you're lucky King Felix's game got snowed out.

Word. Especially seeing the kid throwing a no hitter vs. the Sox right now. Dude is sick.

160-159. You gotta be f***ing kidding me. First a tie and now this? And both results due to stupid rainouts.

Buehrle had a crappy start to the year, pitching on the road against the Rangers in Arlington. Meanwhile, Wainwright is at home versus the Pirates. On paper, Wainwright was the right choice. Sometimes you just can't predict these things.

This is the reason I absolutely hate spot starters. I much prefer to have a solid group of aces and just play them all the time regardless of matchup. My draft just didn't work out that way this time, though.

My first pitcher drafted, Mr. Zambrano laughs at that comment. You never know who the studs will be year after year. My "ace" is pitching more like a fifth starter on an AL team.

I'll trade you my ace Buerhle for your 5th starter Zambrano.

A tie followed by a one point loss, and now a one point win.

My team is trying its best to give me an ulcer.

Losing Felix for a while is going to hurt. Hopefully Buerhle's recent no hitter indicates that last year's poor season was simply an aberration and not the beginning of a downward trend.

Hey... similar thing happened to me. Pudge is on the bench for me for some reason. Games haven't started yet, so hopefully it won't be a big deal to fix.

    Thanks.

    DH,

    Great job on that trade!

And you pulled that off from Fade of all people........... :p

To bad that I am destined to win this year. I have the worst team, but lead after 11 weeks - with the lowest points scored!!!! :D :D :D I feel the streak riding me all the way to the end, especially after last year scoring the most points, but continued to lose by a slim margin to people having incredible weeks.
