Just got back from Malaysia a few weeks back, and here are the pictures. This was the honeymoon trip, so didn't have much time for too many pictures, but the decent ones are on here now. Blog: mburney.com Gallery: gallery.mburney.com Hope you guys enjoy and as always, please feel free to share (if you like the pics) Thanks for taking a look!
Very nice pics. I have a friend in KL and have toyed with the idea of going to visit. How easy is it to get by if you speak only english? I assume english is pretty common over there.
It is no problem at all with English. Virtually the entire population is conversant in it, and those who aren't still can understand through a couple of hand gestures. It's a pretty nice place, definitely recommend it.
When I lived in Singapore, my father and I belonged to a Golf Club in Kuala Lampur so we went in to Malaysia once or twice a week. I also spent a week at a little island of the Eastern coast called Palau Besar. Very nice looking country, at least the parts I saw. And yes, I too never had problems speaking English with anyone.
Nice pics! I am headed over there myself for honeymoon this summer. Malaysia, Singopore, and Hong Kong. Thanks for posting all the pics and nice info!
Stunning pics! If you haven't already, rockit, you should consider a career in photography. Thanks for sharing, and congrats on the marriage. BTW, did you grow up here or in Kuwait?
I'm going to Malaysia in October. For 3 weeks, first about 1.5 weeks in the continental part of Malayasia, and then about 1.5 weeks at Borneo. Your picks look nice
Which parts of Borneo are you visiting? If you go to Sabah, Mt Kinabalu is a must; a very beautiful mountain. If you go to Sarawak, drop by Mulu National Park in Miri; stunnin caves!
We are going to Sabah, however we go with a organised group, and we will not visit Mt kinabalu. That is a shame, i wanted to visit the mountain, however we will see a lot of nice nature.
Thanks. I wish I could pursue a career in this, but far from being decent right now ... still learning. Both. Lived in Kuwait til I was 9, and been in the Northeast since then. IROC it ... I'm still here, just keep myself limited to reading most of the time. Every now and then have a chance to make an appearance. Thanks all for stopping by again ... appreciate it.
