Will FSN show the games even when they are on TNT (during the long playoff run?)

Also does both Time warner and Dish network provide HD rockets games ( i know only a few Rox games are in HD)

Basically I have Standard Digital Time warner right now and want HD for the playoffs. Should I go dish or TW?

I didnt know FSN was doing HD until recently I heard some games are. I think it has to do with the arena, if they provide HD cameras or something. but FSN broadcast quality sucks in general, they need to go full HD.

I think they will show it on 51 so people without cable can watch as well.

Is all Dish digital or is there a special package you need to get HD?

the playoffs should be on national TV (probably TNT) and all of that will be in HD, unless they're doing something different from last year.

all playoff games are in HD

I have TW HD and it's been good. They offer a free upgrade to HD(if you already have digital cable) but their digital plus package(which has TNTHD, ESPNHD etc.) cost 5 dollars more.

I just wish they had ESPN2HD as well

I love watching local broadcasts, but watching sports in HD is amazing.....so TNT will get my viewing. Hopefully in the next year or so, all Rockets games will be in HD.

A friend of mine has a sat. and can get just about any channel out there, and the other day he had the KNWS braodcast on his system on HD. I couldn't believe it, but it was there on his tv.

What service do you have? My main goal is to find the best service to have HD for all the rockets games. I prefer TW since I already have it but will switch to Dish easily.

    TW HD sucks.

They have only 12 HD channels, besides the locals. then I recived a letter in the mail telling me they are dropping HBO west HD and Showtime west HD.

I here direct tv is the way to go for HD channels.

Sucks for me because I live in a loft that can not get satelite service. thats why I am opting for Blu-ray.

What about for rockets games? I really only have cable for sports. Does TW-HD have TNTHD, ESPN HD etc?

What does Blu-Ray have to do with broadcast TV?

You should check to see if SBC's U-Verse is available at your location. I'm waiting to switch as soon as it's available at my place. It's the best thing you can get in Houston right now as far as digital TV/internet service is concerned.

"Officially", you may be right, but let me just say one word:

    descrambler

If anyone read my post about KNWS, they'd would have been able to see some of the Rockets gams in HD. I just called them to confirm, and yes, they officially have HD capabilty. I'm not sure if they'll be broadcasting any more games this year though.

I never got that letter. Are they really dropping the West HD channels?! When does that boneheaded move take effect? So we'll basically be down to 10 or so HD channels after that.

dude, every rockets playoff game is going to be broadcast in hd on tnt or espn. period. it makes absolutely no difference if you have directv, time warner, or dish, if you want to watch the rockets in hd.
