I think they need to either go with the all white uniforms that debuted last year or the red tops. Get rid of the blue...it's linked to a lot of losing.
We are 4-2 with the battle red jerseys. In comparison, we have sucked for every other game over the past five years. Its common sense to make that the official uniform. Helps bring in a new era of winning. Then again we play most of those games against jacksonville.
I always hated the unis. They need a RED color scheme (houston's color is RED) and they need the letter "H" or "T" more highly represented. dumb bull head.
I want this one: The Texans should change the "Deep Steel Blue" to Columbia Blue and go to white helmets. It's the best looking uniform combination ever.
I hate the home (or is it road) unis; white top and blue pants...it just looks way to red, white and blue..blah. The battle reds are the best.
As much as everybody on this board claims to miss the Oilers, nobody sure as sh*t cared whenever they left...
I always liked the idea of changing the uniforms/helmets to a metallic gunmetal gray, keeping the red white and blue for the logo, jersey, and accents. I loved the logo but the dark blue, with red and white is just a played out color scheme.
Is it really any sillier than the Wizards, Phillies, or Nationals? We've been in the league for 5 years. Most people don't bother thinking about whether a name makes sense or not. The Jazz should have changed their name when they moved but people are so used to the "Utah Jazz" that they really don't think about it anymore. Sure, some whiny little nitpickers do but most people don't care.
The "Texans" team name has slightly historical significance. The Dallas Texans was a reasonably successful AFL franchise in the early 60's. They moved to Kansas City and of course became the Kansas City Chiefs. Dont think it was just being drab and going with something like New York New Yorkans, or Illinois (fighting) Illini. I always thought the all-white unis were pretty sharp and wished they'd go with that more. I'm satisfied with what they have now though. If they'da won a lot more games in their existence, or drafted Reggie Bush or Vince Young for the jersey sales, the unis wouldnt be an issue at all.
