Austin Fans: Comedy Club Thursday night

    BBS user <B>Another Brother</B> is a professional comedian and long-time Rocket fan. His name is Billy D. Washington and he will be performing Thursday night at 8pm at the Capital City Comedy Club on Hwy 183@Anderson Rd.

    He works with Christopher 'Kid' Reid from the "House Party" movies and both visit <B>ClutchCity.net</B> frequently.

    He wanted to invite fans from ClutchCity.net and set up a party for us at half-price ($4.50) tickets. If you'd like to go, call the club at 512-467-2333 and ask for Margie or Dana and reserve seats. Also post here and maybe we can get a group to go....

    Kid used to have it... now it's um... well... grounded. I'm pissed I don't live in Austin (just for this, mind you) because I used to be a big Kid 'N Play fan. :mad:

    Just wanted to say I went to the show last night with a friend and I <I>highly</I> recommend you check it out. Billy was <I>hilarious</I>.

    "Kid" hosts the show and does standup between comics. The first guy is very funny and Billy, the headliner, closes. It was more than worth it...

    I got to meet all three after the show and Billy was incredibly cool. He just <I>raved</I> about the site and the BBS users... how intelligent they are and quick to respond to questions. We talked about how he <a href="http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22605">met Glen Rice</a> in Miami and how the players looked in camp so far. "Kid" is a Knicks fan and knows Rice from a party Allan Houston threw once. He feels Rice is going to do extremely well this year because he was never really healthy in New York.

    They are doing their show tonight and tomorrow night here in Austin and if you can go, I'd definitely check it out...

    I take it that "Kid" is a regular then, i.e. lives in Austin? How often does Billy come through town?
