Anybody going to the tv taping of Smackdown! and ECW?

I'd like to finally see an ECW show, even though it's a bastardize version of it.
I think they said it was the Houston debut of ECW, but I clearly remember ECW coming to Houston at the Astroarena before.

I want to see Booker and the Undertaker. Those are Houston Guys.

    It's the road to WrestleMania.

Anybody want to hook me up with a Ticket? If I have to pay, I'll have to pay Friday.

Yeah, the orginal ECW came here before. I got to go to that, it was great. And a question to all you old school wrestling fans, did anyone else mark out when The Undertaker won the Royal Rumble? The little kid inside me was ecstatic. He deserves another title run.

I'll be there tonight in section 115.

I can't believe they dropped real money from the rafters last night on Raw. Just another reason to hate Dallas...

man, i was totally surprised by that that. i figured HBK would take it b/c they were in San Antonio. but you're right. i did get a big giddy when taker won. i'm guessing this may be on his last leg and want him to go out with another championship title.

It was probably about $5000 total. It wasn't like that scene in Batman where The Joker dropped a crapload of money and it covered the ground. It was more of a light sprinkle of cash all around the arena. One guy held up a C-Note...

I'm afraid to ask what the difference is between a fake gay show and a real gay show...does it have something to do with robot penises?

I was going to go, but by the time I looked at the site, it was sold out. I will save my money for UFC tickets when they go on sale. I think they go on sale next week.

Also, WWE is coming back for a PPV in June.

    LOL...Good question.

    Put it in this way:

A fake gay show is a REAL gay show.

A real gay show is still a FAKE gay show.

I knew I should have bought tickets.

The stars of the NFL, NBA and the world of rock 'n’ roll were out in the Lone Star State tonight, backstage at the ECW and SmackDown live event in Houston at the sold-out Toyota Center.

Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, Houston Texans stars Andre Johnson and DeMeco Ryans, as well as Houston Rockets Dikembe Mutombo and Luther Head, all interacted with ECW Extremists and WWE Superstars such as Houston’s own, King Booker, prior to the show. Later on in the evening, they also had the opportunity to visit with ECW Original RVD and even Mr. McMahon himself.

“We are fans of the WWE, and we have our favorite ‘good guys and bad guys,’” said Gibbons. “This is a great opportunity for me and the others to get away from the studio, and to just enjoy a great evening out.”

For Ryans, the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year, watching the Superstars and Extremists live was a lifelong dream.

“To see these guys in person is a big thing for me," said an excited Ryans. “This is my first live event and I’m loving it.”

“I’ve always wanted to see WWE live, and this is my first opportunity too,” said Pro Bowl wide receiver Johnson. “I want to see these guys go out and perform.”

Cool, I didn't know lots of the Texans and Rockets were big Wrestling fans. It's always nice to see Houston represented on a national level. I wish they would have done an angle with one of the Rockets. Maybe have Deke elbow Vince and T-Mac finish him off with his finisher, The Lazy-Eyed Leg Drop. :D

Looks like everyone had a good time. Good to see some city athlete unity.

I really should have gone to the show. I NEVER would have guessed that it would sell out, but it sold out a week before the show. I will check out the PPV in June though.

Glad to see TMac's got some standards and good moral judgement. Unlike Shawn Kemp
