What happened to all our JVG haters? Looks like they have gone into hiding just like all the idiots who used to badmouth TMac, JHo, and Battier. Rafer haters you will be the next to eat crow. Rafer doesn't turn the ball over and that's what you want when you have Yao and TMac. Every player, on the team, has a role to compliment the greatness of Yao and TMac. Battier's role is to shut down the opponents scorer, Deke's role is to rebound and provide some relief to Yao's minutes total, Howard's role is to pick up some points, Hayes' role is to rebound and cut for layups when Yao is doubled, Snyder's role is to play defense and pick up a few points fast breaking, Bonzi's role is to provide bench scoring and be an option when Yao and/or TMac are having a bad game. And Rafer's role? Don't turn the ball over! Why can't you guys understand that no team, including the Rockets, can not have an allstar at every position. Talent is divided. The Rockets have done a brilliant job of acquiring just the right role players to surround the stars.
Chuck can't change his 6'6 height. That is a non-issue to the discussion. The issue is he fouls guards way out on the perimeter with his knees and hands after PnRs and he gets reach in fouls that are pointless and purposeless. The issue IS basketball intelligence and he's got to get his brain together and stop doing the same thing over and over again. His struggles started before Yao went down. Obviously without Yao in the lineup, Chuck's value is further diminished because he and Deke cannot be on the floor together for very long. I've never been on the "Juwan sucks" or "Chuck sucks" bandwagons and have no need to create another Rybo just to have something to complain about. I'm enjoying the wins every bit as much as you are. The frustrating thing about Chuck is his foul issues can be easily resolved because they are so fundamental. We need him out on the floor more but so many times he pulls himself out of games with the dumb fouls. I'm rooting for him but that doesn't stop me from bluntly stating his flaws.
great win for rox but better game from t mac should have had 50 pts but the 4th foul hurt anyways I dont wanna sound greedy... The Mavs are for real I hope they come to earth alittle so we can catch up make games up in the southwest I hope that the rox can be #2 when Yao gets back but I know that am pushing it. I just wanted them to play 500 ball... Good win tonite 6 in row?? I think if we win 10 in arow tmac will be in mvp talk at all star break

Agreed.. his problems started when Tracy went out The things you are talking about him doing to get those "purposeless" fouls are also what get him steals. He isn't purposefully hitting people on the outside, he's trying to give that extra hustle for a steal that got him on the floor in the first place. Tonight I could have screamed when he fouled the three point shooter (can't remember who it was) because that truly was a stupid foul. Most of the time though he gets his fouls trying to play defense on someone taller than he is and they lean into him, or trying to help defend when someone else's man comes into the paint. I apologize for that part in response to your post, because it wasn't really a response to you personally. There are others on this board who bandwagon every time someone is doing well and HAVE to have someone to complain about every game. It wasn't directed at you, it was a generally "the annoying posters on the GARM" who can't find even find happiness in a win over a good team. The last two games he wasn't pulled out because of fouls, he was pulled out because he seems scared to do anything at all.... which is why I said I believe he is having confidence issues. Even JVG said he expects Chuck to get a lot of fouls, simply because of his size and his role on the team (which I take to be hinting back to those risky hustle attempts). Also thank you for not flaming and taking my post the wrong way... another thing that drives me nutso here!
Man!! only 6 TO's... How long since the Rockets had this few in a game?? I have renewed confidence in our ability to stay afloat while Yao is mending. TMac, just incredible!!

THE ROCKETS DIDN'T WIN BY 20+ WITHOUT YAO? OMG WE SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK. Why can't we hold on to 20+ point leads???? It's not like the other team is furiously trying to come back? I mean why would they? Plus our guys shouldn't be the least bit tired late in the 4th. We won didn't we?? We've beat teams by more than 20 before.... ROCKETS oWNED THE JAZZ. YES!
