does anyone know the cutoff date for the video game rosters? any chance that the video game roster for the rockets will be 100% accurate, in terms of reflecting the people who actually will play for the rockets this year? also, while we're on the subject of the video game, does anyone know whether EA factors in injuries when they give a player his skill rating [ie. glen rice]? I'm wondering if mooch will be on the rockets video game roster and whether the nba live roster will reflect any big man insurance we pick up before the end of the season.
Injuries don't factor in on overall player ratings. Kevin Johnson was a monster NBA Live 98 sim player, rated 82, usually averaged 21-26ppg, but only played about 35 games. Rosters will probably be a month or so out of date when the game is released, its possible if Norris is not yet signed that he will remain in the free agent pool but this info is uncertain. You can purchase a memory card/internet unit where you can download saves off the net to supplement created players, EA has supported this in the past. The PS2 hard drive may also be supported by Live 02 although I doubt this. The HD would allow updates to the game.
