If the formula is true that in a zone-based game (relative to traditional defenses), the importance of skills differ in that:

    defensively:
height, mobility is favored over one-on-one defense (either employ a forest or a swarm)

risky defense (blocks/steals) is favored over consistent disruption (risks can be taken since it is easier to get help on defense)

    offensively:
jumpers and 3's are favored over penetration from perimeter

height and jumping ability favoured over mobility and SR shooting skills in the blocks (since getting to the ball is now as difficult as shooting it)

Then the Rockets appear to be one of the most ideal zone team in the NBA, no? The only comparable team I can think of are the Bucks... In a league of anemic scoring this year, the Rockets seem well-placed to tear it up! Here is how I rate them.

    (offensive suitability, 1-5)
    C Cato(2), Collier(4)
    PF Thomas(4), Griffin(3), Taylor(5,IR)
    SF Rice(5), Walt(5), Morris(4)
    SG Mobley(4), Langhi(5)
    PG Francis(4), Norris(3)

    (defensive suitability, 1-5)
    C Cato(5), Collier(2)
    PF Thomas(3), Griffin(5), Taylor(3,IR)
    SF Rice(2), Walt(2), Morris(4)
    SG Mobley(4), Langhi(3)
    PG Francis(4), Norris(3)

Let me know what you guys think.

Team goes to Lottery with Thomas at the PF spot. Griffin will help and grow alot faster than we all thought but still we need someone at the 4 that can produce each night.

Rockets have to pull of a deal.
