I saw in the game last night that he got a strained abdominal muscle. Any news on how severe and how long his recovery will be?

This is a very legitimate question. I shudder to think about all the hate comments that it will stimulate.

Gosh and I had a great comment too. And now you ruined it!

Well, here it goes anyway: Not long enough.

Playing time for Novak! Whoohoo! This means the demise of western civilization as Padge and Novak play horrible D and ruin the team.

Wait, Jho already plays horrible D......

Oh, OK we are not any worse off.

the poster that thought the "You Got Traded!" jeer from the Rowdies was cold will hate the rejoicing that takes place in this thread...

Let's hope it's until May. I hate seeing the other team go on a run, each time it's Juwan time.

I bet the only reason he gets playin time is cuz he's coach's pet (Chuckie said last night he is). probably like the RyBo thing.

Despite what others may say, Juwon is esstential to our playoff run.

It is esstential that he play as little as possible.

I thought last night proved there's a difference between playing horrible D (Juwan, Padgett) and "Dear lord, that person should just stand on the other side of the court because he can't do anything defensively" defense of Novak.

I didn't think it was possible to be worse than Howard/Padgett defensively, but Novak proved there's another tier.

Well, at least creating a tier is more than Juwan has accomplished his entire time with us.

J/k. Honestly, I didn't watch the game, but JVG said earlier that Novak plays good man-to-man D and poor help D. That's already better than I expected. Not to mention help D has less to do with athleticism and strength, and more to do with the brain, so I think he will catch on with the help, even if it's just a bit. He's quite tall as well, so that will help him when it comes to help D.

I'm just thinking Juwan is utterly useless on offense, and I think Novak can do a better job at scoring and as good a job at rebounding. If the edge goes to Novak on one side, to Howard on one side, and they're equal in terms of rebounding, then it makes way more sens to play the person who has more potential to improve.

Regardless, I think the best rotation is a mix of lots of Hayes, with some Juwan and Novak sprinkles. Padgett is absolutely useless. Novak should eat up his minutes soon, and also I'd like to see how effective he can be against NBA 3's.

If anyone has followed the career of the great Wang Zhizhi in the NBA, you'll know there is a already a tier below horrible as far as D goes.
