Good thing Kerry is not running for anything the Repubs are in DIRE trouble and they know it....and will do anything to deflect the miserable way in which they handled Iraq. DD
Since everyone else loves to indulge in conspiracy theories here's one. What if Kerry did this intentionally knowing that it would upset many but would give moderate Democrats in tight races like Ford in TN and Walz in MN their Sistah Souljah moment? Republicans in red districts have been trying to tar moderate Democrats with Nancy Pelosi in the House and Ted Kennedy in the Senate so what if John Kerry goes ahead and makes a dumb @ss statement allowing those moderate Democrats to show their independence by publicly criticize one of the major liberals and previous standard bearers. I myself don't think this is likely but in politics stranger things have happened.
Hey voters!! Look at the birdie!! Watch the birdie!! FOR GODS SAKE WHY WONT YOU WATCH THE BIRDIE!?!??!?!
In the spirit of flubbery, some of GWB's greatest hits: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BqLvBUSJucg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BqLvBUSJucg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
If you're getting C's at Yale, and your dad is an alumnus with powerful political connections, that means you actually got an F. This isn't just rhetoric - I know of this sort of thing happening recently at a different Ivy League school, but with the same context. Apparently, children of powerful (and wealthy) people graduating with a C average (when they actually earned an F) is not that uncommon.
Are you making fun of these soldiers because they couldn't get the joke John Kerry was making and thought it was aimed at them? I can't believe you would make fun of these guys who serving in Iraq just because they weren't able to understand the joke John Kerry botched and who the target of the joke was. This has to be one of your lowest posts ever.
I have to disagree with you. I don't think he would get a F. In fact, he wouldn't even have been enrolled to begin with.
Could be. I hate to see Kerry crash and burn off of this. I may disagree with a lot of his ideology, but he seemed like one of the few guys in Washington that genuinely do care about the direction of the country.
You're so stubborn. It's soooooo irritating. Just admit that your boy messed up, k? Thx. JOHN KERROWNED
You must have missed at least 3 other posts where I called him, stupid, a moron, used the word botched, said that his comments were stupid etc. That doesn't change the fact that his remarks were a joke aimed at Bush and not the troops.
Very few jokes are actually funny. That doesn't mean they aren't jokes. The punchline was that if don't apply yourself and work hard in education that, like Bush you too could end up in a horrible mess like Iraq.

here's some reaction from some of those right wing nutjobs: Rep. Harold Ford "He needs to apologize to our troops" Sen. Hillary Clinton “What Sen. Kerry said was inappropriate” Gov. Janet Napolitano “It's just wrong" U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez “I think his comments were inappropriate” New Jersey Senate President Richard Codey “I think it's offensive” Senate candidate Jon Tester “Senator Kerry's remarks were poorly worded and just plain stupid” North Carolina State Democratic Party chairman Jerry Meek “John Kerry's botched joke was wrong and he should apologize” Congressional candidate Bruce Braley "I believe that Senator Kerry's brief statement was inappropriate” Congressional candidate John Pavich “I believe he should apologize to the brave men and women in service.”
