Here are my CAP attributes for Hayes, Novak, Spanoulis, and Lucas III. Since these are for the PS2 version, there are a couple of things I had to leave out. I am also not including the visual attributes I used since the graphics are so different from PS2 to 360. Just use whatever you feel looks best on your particular system.

That is almost exactly how I ended up making them on my season. I'm surprised that Hayes wasn't in the game from his play last year. I wanted to be careful not to make them all-stars....try to mold them after their real-life skills and hopefully they grow into good players.

    Nice work.

    Clearly it's 2k7.

I went looking for a copy of 2k7 and had to go to Wal Mart, Target, Game Crazy, Best Buy, Circuit City, and then FINALLY Game Stop (where I got the very last copy). In comparison, every place had Live and Game Stop in particular probably had enough copies that they could have wallpapered the store with them.

There is a reason all the copies of Live are still in stores...nobody is buying that crap.

Some of the bugs in this years version are pretty bad though, and the game seems a bit cartoony. I'm stuck with NBA Live since I'm playing on PC.

Did they get rid of the "center court" camera view in this year's Live?? I just bought it. That's the view I always use. All there is is "Press Box," which is like watching from the nosebleed seats in the arena.

Why would NBA Live remove features from this year's game?

That don't make no sense...I don't know how much more of this I can take... (the LeBrons)

ClutchCityReturns, thanks for those CAPs! They look pretty good and fair.

I have PS2, and it really is a shame that 2K7 didnt include some featuers in the PS2 version (alternate position, jersey number editing, more facial/hair/body options etc) that it did in the Xbox360 version.

I wonder if these games are just giving up on PS2 and just concentrating completely on Xbox360 and PS3?

But you do know that the ORIGINAL creators left Live in 2000 and began working on the NBA2K series for Dreamcast??? EA didnt want to pay them what they wanted...

That's the year when Live went downhill. (Funny... Antoine Walker was on the cover...)

I have always bought live until this year. I bought it, it sucked, so I returned it and bought 2k7. I think it is much better

i think i've said it before but the menu system on 2k7 is flat-out terrible. they tried to get all cute with the little analog stick and it's just a mess.

also create-a-player is just too frustrating/time consuming and i haven't gotten around to creating more than one player yet.

just nit-picking because the game itself is excellent.

IS this for PS2 NBA 2K7? IF so, can you post CAPS (including looks) for VSPAN, NOVAK, hayes. Many thanks! The game is great, i have a great strategy to win and tmac's jumper is realistic like himself. I didn't even change his 3 pt shot and i can make em. The only bad thing is we can't revise how players look who are already in the game? I tried to make bonzi bald but couldnt do it.

I posted CAPS for JL3, Novak, Hayes, and VSpan for the PS2 version, but they don't include the appearance attributes. They're at the top of this page if you want to use them.

I could add the appearance attributes if you really want them, but it's not like my guys look perfect or anything. I'm sure you could do just as well yourself.

When you take Padgett from NJ in 2k7, he shows up on the rox roster with his NJ number -- #34 -- Blasphemy!

FWIW, it seems like PS3 games will retail for around the same price as 360 games. A couple of US publishers have already said that their games will retail for $60, and Sony already announced some prices for their games in Japan (with prices ranging from $40 to like $75-$80, which is about the norm in Japan). I'd be really surprised if the average PS3 game cost $70.

There will be a HD-DVD add-on player for the 360 this Christmas, but it will be priced at $200, not $150 IIRC. It comes with King Kong on HD-DVD too.

I think it is too early to say any of the 3 has a clear edge in "winning the war." I can see each of them winning big, or, possibly a more likely scenario, I could see the 3 getting roughly equal marketshare (Wii might get a little bit more since it is a more attractive "second console"). The first 4 things you listed as to why the 360 is the clear winner were also things that the Dreamcast had, and that didn't help them (DC probably also had an advantage over the PS2 in the online department, although I admit that comparing XBL with what the DC had is rather foolish).

I'd like to see the 360 do better in Japan and Europe before declaring it the clear winner (~70% of the market there). Sales have been pretty bad there over the last year since it has been released (and not really all that great here either), but I expect that to pick up big time by the end of 2006 and going into 2007. They have some great RPGs coming out soon that the Japanese will probably love, and the soccer deal that MS pulled off might help them out a lot in Europe too.

Sorry about replying to a post from almost a week ago. I usually just stay in the Hangout, and I didn't check out this thread since I don't have either game. If/when I get a PS3, I'm looking forward to trying out NBA2K7 to see how well "shooting the controller" works. Seems interesting, but it will probably be just a gimmick that no one really uses.
