Good call with Holy Grail or other Monty Python. I should have included them on my list. 5 is just too short. I guess I will edit it to make that change.

    The whole 9 yards
    Shreq

For the rest there are a couple of films that come close. but those 3 are my favorites by far.

Her are a few I could watch over and over

    A Fish Called Wanda
    What About Bob?
    Dr. Stangelove
    The Princess Bride
    Spinal Tap
    Best in Show
    Weird Science

Also, I know it's not a movie, but Fawlty Towers may be the funniest hours of comedy ever filmed.

wedding crashers (the "midnight rape" scene and then the line where vince vaughn mentions it are great), dodgeball, and 40 year old virgin are definitely way up there on my list, and all 3 came out in such a short time. i don't even know which one i think is funniest b/c they're all so good.

    other to mention:

the great outdoors (my favorite movie as a kid and i can still watch it and laugh, the "blow it out your ass" scene is still one of my favorites)

christmas vacation - to me, even more the definitive christmas movie than a christmas story (which is also great)

plains, trains, and automobiles - those aren't pillows!

american pie - too many good moments to list them

the birdcage (the one with robin williams) - the whole movie is funny but i think the dinner scene might be the funniest 30-45 minutes of any movie i've seen.

as far as citizen kane, i tried to go take that movie on one time. i went toe to toe with it for about an hour before i finally had to tap out and change the channel. they weren't lyin' when they said it was boring.

I've never had the urge to watch Citizen Kane. I don't figure I ever will.

Finally someone with me on TLB. I like MPTHG too (top 10), but I think TLB is more brilliant/consistenty funny, and peerless among that type of comedy.

I have found guys who don't get ND are themselves too close to being Napolean, Kip or Uncle Rico himself. Which do you resemble Macalu? :)
