Damnit willy. YOu ever hear of sliding?!

The inning had a promising start, but then Willy is picked off because he doesn't slide. And the others couldn't do jack.

Let's go Stros! The time is now!!!!!!!!!!

22 innings where we can't score. Brewers score with the first batter...lead off homer.

Wow, Jason Hirsh is a homerun machine.
    Game Over

Almost another one left the yard

I just realized we played 36 innings against the Cubs and we scored in 2 of them. 34 of 36 scoreless innings.

I really like the way Munson is catching Hirsh vs. the way Ausmus caught him. I was at the game saturday, and Hirsh's changeup and slider were both good except for the slider he hung to Barfield. The off speed stuff was good, but Ausmus was just calling fastball after fastball after fastball. It was good but he wasn't changing speeds effectively and keeping the hitters off balance. Tonight as evident by the 3rd inning, he threw more breaking balls than fastballs and was very effective.

    Damnit, Scott didn't run

Edit: And Huff's homer woulda been a 2-run shot if he had hustled.

Aubrey Huff with a bomb. If Luke Scott hustles out of the box, its a 2 run homer instead of a solo. Dammit.

it's like this whole season has been one long string of us shooting ourselves in the foot to get the absolute worst outcome out of any situation. if hirsch doesn't throw that last wild pitch, that single would've probably been too hard to score the run. if we're not getting picked off or running into outs, we have more runs.

and that's how all season seems to have gone. and of course, when we do screw up on D or pitching, we always seem to do it with 2 outs when we're just about to get out of it, and then we get out 3 almost immediately. very frustrating.

It would be nice also if Lance Berkman could start hitting. He hasn't gotten a hit now in his last 19 at-bats (0-13, 6 walks).

Maybe because his off-speed stuff results in wild pitches that Munson can't handle?
