Yes, Fegan and associates were bought out by the Assante Group. This was from their web site. It mentions offices in LA and Dallas, but only gives the LA address.
Those looking for info on Fegan, I suggest you search for the "Assante" corporation. They bought out his sports agency in January I think. Btw, is it any coincidence that this ass clown also represents Joe Smith? What a track record...... Beat by 2 minutes damnit!
I can see an agent holding out for more money, shopping his client around to up the ante from the desired suitor, threatening to walk in negotiations, etc. - that is his job. But this guy is just slime on a pig's a*s. If the rumors are true and this guy flat out lies (to his client, to the organization, and to the press) then that goes beyond "doing his job". That is unethical. That makes him a thief. I think Rox mgt should refuse to do business with the guy if there is any truth to these allegations. Tell Mooch and Shandon that if they want to remain Rockets then they should either fire him and hire another agent (even Falk would be better), or fire him and deal with mgt themselves. I believe the Jazzholes have similarly refused to deal with him (he lied in the SA dealings), and for once I think we should follow their lead. I predict that some crazy fan is gonna pop that guy one of these days... No one from this site of course, but some day... Or a less-than-ethical franchise owner will place a hit.
I don't know if an admitted freebie for a second post is a good thing or bad. If I were you, though, I wouldn't expect very many sophisticated insults on the moniker. Less-than-sophisticated a plenty, so you've got nothing to worry about. I just hope your first post had a little more substance.
i think either fegan or falk appeared in a recent SLAM issue. the writer (scoop jackson) referred to the guy as a basketball don king. had a picture of him. looks like someone who'd screw a team, not at all like jerry mcguire.
A google search for "Dan Fegan" got me this... Something tells me that's not him...also call me crazy, but I'd say that Hakeem Olajuwon is the reason Hakeem Olajuwon is with the Raptors.
PeteRoseMobster, by gosh you've nailed it. Let's not try to complicate a simple situation. We are spending way too much time trying to assassinate the messenger. And we're giving Dan Fegan too much credit (whose picture is that anyway????.) Hakeem is solely responsible for what has transpired on his behalf, NOT HIS AGENT. ...better be careful what you wish for BTW, coffee is ready.
