Predictions on his performance? Draftexpress.com should have a report out as soon as the game finishes.
So does Mike James, and how many Mike James threads are there? If people are going to keep on talking about the Battier/Gay trade being a mistake, perhaps Rudy Gay's performance is a somewhat relevant topic.
Agreed. The GARM is cluttered enough as it is. Let's not elevated Gay to Rashard status just yet, where he gets threads in the Rocket forum all the time even though he's never played for our team. (that's annoying enough as it is) Well up until two days ago, we could have signed James, so that's a different story. We'll get a couple more days of James fallout, just like we had Gay fallout after the trade. But at this point, a Gay "tracking" thread is needlessly obsessive IMO. Maybe it warrants a move and maybe it doesn't. But it's not my place to say what stays or what goes, and if some people want to keep this topic in the forum then so be it. I've said my piece on the subject.
Agree. This goes in the "NBA Dish" forum. I don't want to even think about Rudy Gay anymore. It's like watching a train wreck and not being able to do anything about it.
83 points, 27 rebounds, 18 assists, 12 blocks, 8 steals - 82% from the floor, 68% from the 3 point line, 100% from the free thow line. If he had been drafted by the Rockets, 2 points, 6 turnovers, 0 rebounds.
the rockets actually picked Rudy Gay in the draft so Rudy was a rocket.. then he got traded.. they passed on Rashard so he was never a rocket
Exactly - I am tempted to pull a DREAMer (that is a blast from the past) and constantly post updates on how Gay does this season but put the thread in the GARM. actually I am not that foolhardy to do something like that!
I respect whatever decision Clutch and the mods make. But I think this is fair game. Like it or not, sick of it or not, the Rudy Gay trade is THE story of this offseason. We've debated its merits. We moaned. We cried. We shook our fists at the gods. Yes, Rudy Gay is no longer a Rocket. But don't you think that his summer-league play is a point of interest, another piece of data, and one that adds some texture--and perspective--to THE story of the Rockets' off-season? By the letter of the law, this is NBA Dish. By the spirit of the law, this feels like GARM. Again, though, I humbly retract this if the mods feel differently.
