This is a perfect example that even if someone is telling you "SOME" facts, it doesn't mean s/he is telling the truth!!! I still can't believe people, even for a second, thinks it might be the truth. I guess decades of propaganda against certain type of countries will do that to people.

every so often a garbage book comes out with some unfounded theory and claim to get people riled up and make money.
I don't understand why its so hard to believe. I'm not saying that I agree with it and it reflects my morals and belifes, but its a different culture and its not really for us to judge. Lots of cultures have arranged marriages and lots children are forced into doing work they dont want to do for finacial or other reasons. The facts as they stand are, Yao plays in the NBA now and he is going to make a sh!tload of money and can spend the rest of his days doing what ever he wants
I came from China and I am in the States now. But how come everything I heard here about China is so weird? Countries are different, that's it. Houston and NY city are different too. Why did those guys always come up to think there must be some dirty deeds or conspiracy behind the scene when they could not even understand it?
It reminds me of that consipiracy theory where Kentucky Fried Chicken changed their name to KFC because they used genetically modified chicken parts, so they had to ditch the Chicken to not get sued.
Thank god all of the people from China that I've met over the years don't have chips on their shoulders like a great many frustrated male YOFs that populate this arena.

Now, I've been labelled both YOF and YOH in the past and admittedly I've lost track of which I am (you know, tend to happen with the dual personality thing).
