Hamermesh is great, cept the final is the hardest test I've ever taken. Doesn't give many As.. lots of Bs and Cs.. No multiple choice midterms either.. although you would pray for a short answer final after the nasty 72 MC gauntlet he serves up.

"Lewis Gould in the History Department. My favorite professor during college at UT."

I had him in 1975 - great teacher - lecturer- could not imagine him still being active- got to be a decendant.

Shane Davies in the Geography dept. He is still there. Taches an urban plannning course I took because I followed a girlfriend there. It was like a macro economic class with very interesting lectures. lots of fun and informative- good world perspective - he is from Wales.

Can't remember his name, but did anybody take a World Lit class with an older gray-haired guy that swore like a sailor in his lectures? I liked him.

Actually, I believe he is still there and still teaching. I know he came out with a new book a couple of years ago. He is a great teacher and author.
