diablo 2

It is an excellent game. I prefer Starcraft, but I suppose that is a matter of taste.

And I concur that Blizzard's games are of impressive quality.

How long do I have to endure this ?

 

Quite the pimp, aren't we . I do have to say that I've been playing the demo some, and it is solid. Way more inovative than those lame "Wing Commander/Privateer/Starlancer" games that have only recieved window dressing since about 1988. (Oops, did I say that outloud....).

Everybody made a big deal about the 3 races in Starcraft, but each of those races had more or less the same resource tree and unit options. The whole wormhole thing makes the gameplay different and much more complex.

Diablo 2 was very addictive, but IMHO it pales in comparison to titles such as Baldur's Gate that actually have a storyline. The one thing I hated about Diablo after a while was that it got to be a mouse-bustin' point and click fest. That being said, it's still among my favorite games of all time. Once I finish BG2, I may get the LOD expansion... unless I get my new Macintosh by then.

I had loaded on PC but hardly played it... I'm not into the whole role-playing type games. I hate having to interact and ask questions and solve puzzles...

I like first person shooters, driving games, etc....

I agree -- I have Diablo 2 and have played single player on it for a while (Act 3 or so, I think?), but it pales in comparison to story-driven RPGs, IMO. Baldur's Gate, Might and Magic VI, Fallout or the BEST: Planescape Torment.

anyone here still playing diablo 2?
i suck at it. about the horadric cube, the 1 sword and 6 gems to get 1 long socketed sword, if it was a unique sword, does it retain its unique abilities? and is a long sword one handed or 2? is a long sword a certain sword class or is it just the same sword with 6 gems ie you put in scimitar and you get scimitar with 6 gems with normal scimitar abilities and 6 gems attributes? i dont want to further screw up my paladin.

 

I still play D2, though I'm not sure about the cube recipe.

Also, I like the point and click interface. Maybe it's just me, but why would I want to trade with a scorpion (in EQ)
