The Cubs mailed in the season a long time ago when Kerry Wood was shelved. They have no team chemistry and a lame duck manager all the players know will be fired. Their body language the last 2-3 weeks has been awful. I can't think of another team I'd rather face right now other than maybe the Pirates.

The Cubs haven't given us fits. We've just blown 2/3 games we should have won, plain and simple. Losing this game was inexcusable, especially with the pitching matchup.

How close was baggy's hit at the end to being a homer? I didnt watch it on TV but saw it on MLB game day and it looked really close...

Anyone know how we compare with the rest of the league in regards to players LOB? I'm sure the Astro's would have to be at or near the top when it comes to that dubious honor.

Warning track drive (did not even get to the ivys).

Impressive drive but not that close. Jeremy did not have to do any acrobatic, nail biting or leaping save. But it sure put the fear of god in Dempster though.

It's good to see Beltran still coming through for the Stros.

I guess the collar is a little tight on the Phils too. Very tough loss. Of course, Wags opens his big mouth again. He's loudmouth a jerk wherever he plays.
