This isn't a thread about our current VP or any particular VP.. I'm just curious how much of a role everyone thinks the VP makes in a presidential election historically. In other words, how often do you think people are swayed to vote for a president or against a president based on who they pick for the VP? I know I've always heard about the VP selection being crucial, but not sure if that is mainly because of the publicity a candiate gets right after the selection leading up to the national convention... or if it has been shown that who the VP is sways a lot of swing voters? Trying to get an idea of how much the average voter actually takes into account who the VP Is when voting...
