    That's amazing that he can express his musical talent so effortlessly.

    I wasn't convinced that he was eight, until the zoom in.

    What a talented guy.

    The kid was playing -

    Some Micheal Schenker (Assault Attack)

    Yngwie Malmsteen

    and threw in some Eddie Van Halen tap on technique at the end.

    "Is this kid a:
    virtuoso;
    prodigy;
    maestro;
    beginner;
    bah! I could do better!;
    what is a guitar?;
    I can do a better 'solo';"

    I guess it's pretty amazing for a kid like that to execute all of that technical playing, but if he was a full grown adult, I would just think he's being flashy and showing off, not playing anything I would want to hear. More circus freak than musician.

    It's safe to say he's off to a good start.

    Somebody needs to tell that kid that the last time a person actually WORE a Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirt was before he was born...

    I sent the clip to a buddy of mine who is a musician. Here was his response:

    "that kid's pretty freakin' good.

    hope someone teaches him about tasteful guitar."

    Would any of you musicians on the board also say the same thing? I didn't even notice the guitar and haven't asked my friend to elaborate yet.

    What your friend meant by "tasteful guitar" was that he hopes the kid learns to play slow tasteful licks instead of cramming millions of notes in every solo.

    I wonder if the kid can play any Blues.

    If he can play that, he can play blues. Unless you mean feel blues--I'm pretty sure Robert Johnson and Koko Taylor weren't singing about getting hair in stuck in their Play-Doh.

    I agree. Shouldn't that squirt be playing on his Playstation or something constructive?
