    Stalker alert!

I just dropped my fiance off at the airport (oakland) and she called and said Yao was on her flight to Houston. I haven't been keeping up with the Rockets lately but I'm figuring he's on his way back from China.

More likely he either had his surgery in the Bay Area or had some kind of checkup. He was in H-town just a couple of days ago as per the Sina article and yaomania's posts, so I doubt he's gone to China in the meantime.

BTW- Was Yao's dad, George Ming at the airport too? :D

No, Yao has just make a secret deal with Golden State so he will become a Warrior in 2007. The Golden State Warriors is actually in Oakland, right?

If you don't believe me, here is my source.

Dude I NEVER said it was going to happen....I was making fun of the guy that was stupid enough to write the article. Read between the lines and you will see that I NEVER said that it WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!

Apparently had dinner with Ric Bucher while he was out there as well ...

Carl Dukes had Bucher on his Sports Beat show on 790 last night and before it was over Bucher said he was on the wway to eat dinner with Yao and his family ...

Said what a class guy he was, etc etc and that there is little chance Yao would leave Houston, for the same reason he won't quit playing for the Chinese Nat'l team ...

Yao is loyal to a fault

IIRC, there was a thread a few weeks back that said Yao will go to Oakland or somewhere in Cali to do checkups or whatever on those loose particles in his ankle/knee (??).

So I think Yao was probably just coming back from his doctor's office.

She didn't mention anything about his dad but did say there were several people with him when they were walking through the terminal.

Yes, she was sure it was Yao.:D

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. It's not usual to see a 7 footer, let alone a huge 7'6 Chinese guy and he's face has been on many commercials and magazines.
