Mars Attacks!! was made to be a celebration of schlock, if you didn't love it you probably just went in to it with the wrong attitude.

It may be, may be that you had to be old enough to have seen the original 50's and 60'smovies in that visual style that were trying to be serious sci-fi horror movies.

Try again, it's really outrageously funny.

My vote: Phantom Menace....you can't go home. It was a sad day when I fell asleep during a Star Wars release.

Given their riveting performances on American Idol, anything less than Oscar winning displays by Justin and Kelly in their debut Hollywood roles would be a gigantic dissapointment.

Let's just say there were no oscars won for "From Justin to Kelly"

Yeah, I dont know why I didnt like it, but as dumb as it sounds I really dont... I love most other Tarantino movies, but these just didnt do anything for me, but I have odd taste in movies I think Four Rooms was his best with Pulp close behind...many people think that Four Rooms was his worst..

Aviator is excellent, but for heaven's sake, see Sideways. It's superb.

One of my biggest disappointments would be all the Star Wars movies after The Empire Strikes Back. After Jedi, they went from going downhill to falling off a cliff. An absolute bummer. And, of course, the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies. Barf.

The Crow City of Angels and the Crow Salvation by far.. After the death of Brandon Lee they should have let the crow franchise die with him.

The Original Crow was one of my all time favorite movies.

Um... duh. Of course it was a celebration of schlock. It just wasn't real good. Not bad, but not good, and certainly not a classic or "outrageously funny." Do you write those little blurbs on the movie posters? ;)

i hate to say it, because i know it's a favorite among many here...but...

    The Big Lebowski

damn, i even bought it thinking it would be the funniest thing of all time. i sat motionless for the whole movie, and as i pulled it out wondered - "was this supposed to be funny? ironic? clever? anything?"

    Lebowski MUST NOT BE BESMIRCHED.

That movie is like Napoleon Dynamite but with lots of swearing and violence.

I have to agree with everybody saying Matrix 3 was a big disappointment.

A movie that is the last in a trilogy, that is supposed to tie everything together, should have been way better than that. Lord of the Rings III was great, why couldn't Matrix 3 be?

lord of the rings, the fellowship of the rings.
the beginning was great, how the ring was made and the people who got their own rings, and how sauron was killed and the ring fell into the hobbit's hands.
i wish they had combined all 3 movies like that.

i slept halfway through the first, watched the 2nd one on the computer and couldnt bother to watch the 3rd.
    bunch of loser geeks.

    The Shawshank Redemption

Yeah, I know. I'm the only person on the planet who didn't like that movie. But ya see... the thing is... I'm right, and the rest of the whole friggin' world is wrong. The Shawshank Redemption is crap.

And I agree with Stack24 that Blair Witch was tremendously disappointing (and I, too, had a bad feeling it would be).

    bah. Shawshank Redemption was brilliance.

The Phantom Menace was such a let down.

Troy. Maybe if it had been based on story with staying power they wouldn't have felt the need to Hollywood it up. OH WAIT. . .
