Keep in mind that it was Gary Gaetti at AAA that got Burke to start hitting the gaps. It is very similar to what he did for Adam Everett once Gaetti was promoted. Everett was slapping the ball around but seemed to get a little more power to his stroke and was killing the gaps before he got injured.
Yep, Gaetti's going to have his hands full this year with AE, Burke and Moberg. Too bad he never got the chance to fix that "easily correctable flaw" in Hidalgo's swing.
In Round Rock. Seriously, it's on Hwy 79, about five miles east of I-35. Used to be nothing around it, but that was back in 2002 or so, so it's probably smack in the middle of Round Rock at this point. Buck, I smell road trip. Fishing, baseball, casino cruise. Good times.
Buddy of my dad's quit his job & became a fishing guide about 10 years ago, he happens to live in Corpus. Dude catches fish like nobody I've seen. He gets busy in the summer, so we'd prolly have to pay, but if he's got a free weekend in the spring...gas, beer & lunch gets it done.
About 3 1/2 hours. There still isn't much around the Dell Diamond, yet. However, it is one of the greatest ballparks around, majors or minors.
Aurilia to the Reds News The Reds signed shortstop Rich Aurilia to a minor league deal on Monday and invited the former All-Star to spring training. Aurilia, 33, hit .246 with six homers and 44 RBI in 2004. He split time between the Mariners (73 games) and Padres (51 games). Views The Reds did not offer Barry Larkin a contract after the season, and Aurilia joins Felipe Lopez, Anderson Machado, and Ray Olmedo as candidates for the open starting spot. Aurilia definitely has a shot at winning the job this spring, especially if he returns to his pre-2004 form. ********************************************** No biggie, IMO. I am sure that NJRocket will be disappointed.
